Charging Connector Lock

You may select when the charging
connector can be locked and unlocked in
the charging inlet.
The driver can select the charge
connector lock mode from the User
Settings in the LCD display by selecting
‘User Settings

The connector locks when the charging
connect

or is plugged into the charging
inlet. The connector is locked until all
doors are unlocked by the driver. This
mode can be used to prevent charging
cable theft.
• If the charging connector is unlocked when all doors are unlocked, but the
charging cable is not disconnected
within 15 seconds, the connector will
be automatically locked again.
• If the charging connector is unlocked when all doors are unlocked, but all
doors are locked again, immediately,
the connector will be automatically
locked again.
While charging mode
The connector locks when charging
s
tarts. The connector unlocks when
charging is complete. This mode can be
used when charging in a public charging
station.
Do not lock mode (if equipped)
The connector unlocks regardless of the
s
tate of charging.
Press the charging connector release
button, disconnect the connector.
Be careful to theft of the charging cable.

How to Connect AC Charger
1. Depress the brake pedal and apply the parking brake.
2. Turn OFF all switches, shift to P (Park), and turn OFF the vehicle.

3. Press center edge of the charging door to open the charging door.
Information
If the charging door does not open because
ice has formed around it, tap lightly or
push on the door to break the ice and
release the door. Do not pry on the door. If
necessary, spray around the door with an
approved deicer fluid (do not use radiator
antifreeze) or move the vehicle to a warm
place and allow the ice to melt. 4. Check if there is dust on the charging
connector and charging inlet.

5. Hold the charging connector handle and connect it to the vehicle AC
charging inlet. Push the connector
until you hear a “clicking” sound. If
the charging connector and charging
terminal are not connected properly,
this may cause a fire.
Information
Charging connector AUTO/LOCK mode
The charging connector is locked in the
inlet at a different period according to
which mode is selected.
• LOCK mode : The connector locks
when the charging connector is plugged
into the charging inlet.
• AUTO mode : The connector locks
when charging starts.

How to Disconnect AC Charger

1. When charging is complete, remove the charging plug from the electrical
outlet of the AC charging station.

2. Hold the charging connector handle and pull it while pressing the release
button (1).
Information
To prevent charging cable theft,
the charging connector cannot be
disconnected from the inlet when the
doors are locked. Unlock all doors to
disconnect the charging connector from
the inlet.
However, if the vehicle is in the charging
connector AUTO mode, the charging
connector automatically unlocks from the
inlet when charging is completed.

How to Disconnect Portable Charger
(ICCB: In-Cable Control Box)
1. Hold the charging connector handle and pull it out.
Information
To prevent charging cable theft,
the charging connector cannot be
disconnected from the inlet when the
doors are locked or the charging connector
is in the LOCK mode. Unlock all doors to
disconnect the charging connector from
the inlet.
However, if the vehicle is in the charging
connector AUTO mode, the charging
connector automatically unlocks from the
inlet when charging is completed.
If the charging connector is disconnected
while the release button is not pressed, the
connector and the inlet may be damaged.

Connector AUTO/ LOCK Mode” in this
chapter.

the cable when disconnecting the

4. Close the protection caps of the charging connector and the charging
plug to protect them from foreign
substances.
5. If the personal charging connector is used, store the connector in the cable
compartment.

If the charging connector does not
disconnect due to battery discharge and
failure of the electric wires, open the
liftgate and slightly pull the emergency
cable. The charging connector will then
disconnect.

Push the rear seats back folding switch
(1) located in the both sides in the cargo
area.
WARNING
Rear seat folding
Do not fold the rear seats when
occupied with passengers, pets, or
luggage. Injury or damage may occur.
Armrest
ONX4H030002
The armrest is located in the center of
the rear seat. Pull the armrest down from
the seatback to use it.
Rear occupant alert system (rear
seats) (if equipped)
This function alerts the driver when he or
she gets out of a car with passengers still
remaining in the rear seats.
If the front door is opened while
passengers are in the rear seats, a
warning message will appear on the
cluster panel as a reminder to check to
rear seats. If movement is detected in
the rear seats after locking all doors, a
second warning will alert the driver.
Make sure to check for passengers in the
rear seats before leaving the vehicle.
