Unlocking the Front
Doors from the Inside
(P193)
●Pull either front door inner handle to
unlock and open it at the same time.
Tailgate (P 196)
●Press the tailgate outer handle to unlock
and open the tailgate when you have the
keyless remote on you.
●Press and hold the power tailgate button
on the driver’s side control panel or the
remote transmitter to open and close the
power tailgate.
Models with power tailgate
With the remote on you, raise and lower
your foot (in a kicking motion) under the
center of the rear bumper to open or close
the tailgate.
Models with hands free access

Power Door Mirrors

●With the power mode in ON, move the
selector switch to L or R .
●Push the appropriate edge of the
adjustment switch to adjust the mirror.
●Press the folding button to fold in and
out the door mirrors.

Roll the right selector wheel to scroll to select HUD brightness, then press the right
selector wheel.
Brighten: Roll the right selector wheel up.
Dim : Roll the right selector wheel down.
Press the right selector wheel to exit.
■Adjusting the head-up display height
Roll the right selector wheel to scroll to select HUD height, then press the right
selector wheel.

Controls
The built-in key can be used to unlock the
doors when the keyles s remote battery
becomes weak and the power door unlock
operation is disabled.
To remove the built-in key, push the release
button and then pull out the key. To reinstall
the built-in key, push the built-in key into the
keyless remote until it clicks.
Contains a number that you will need if you
purchase a replacement key.

Keep the key number tag separate from the key in a
safe place outside of your vehicle.

Low Keyless Remote Signal Strength
The vehicle transmits radio waves to locate the keyless remote to start the engine;
lock and unlock all the doors and the fuel fill door; and open the tailgate, and the
power tailgate

In the following cases, starting the engine , locking/unlocking the doors/fuel fill door,
or opening the tailgate/power tailgate
* may be inhibited, or operation may be
unstable:
• Strong radio waves are being tra nsmitted by nearby equipment.
• You are carrying the keyless remote together with telecommunications
equipment, laptop computers, ce ll phones, or wireless devices.
• A metallic object is touching or covering the keyless remote.
1Low Keyless Remote Signal Strength
Communication between the keyless remote and the
vehicle consumes the ke yless remote’s battery.
Battery life is about two years, but this varies
depending on re gularity of use.
The battery is consumed whenever the keyless
remote is receivi ng strong radio wave s. Avoid placing
it near electrical appliances such as televisions and
personal computers.
