CarPlay functionality, as well as new or revised
governmental regulations, may result in a decrease or
cessation of Apple CarPlay functionality and services.
Honda cannot and does not pr ovide any warranty or
guarantee of future Appl e CarPlay performance or
functionality.
It is possible to use thir d-party apps if they are
compatible with Apple CarPlay. Refer to the Apple
homepage for information on compatible apps.
To adjust the ringtone volume, the guidance volume
of the navigation or Siri, or the audio volume, turn
the VOL / AUDIO (Volume/Power) knob while the
sound you want to adjust is playing.

Features
System Updates
The audio system’s firmware can be updated with a Wi-Fi connection or with a USB
device.
The audio system’s firmware can be also updated with the telematics control unit
(TCU) through the subscription-based service.
When the audio system update is available, the notification is shown on the status
area. Use the following proc edure to update the system.
1.Press the button.
2. Select System Updates .
u If System Updates is not displayed on
the home screen, select All Apps.
u The system will check for updates.
u If the update icon appears on the home
screen, select the status icon.

3.Select Download .
u A notification appears on the screen for
the user to accept the download.
4. Select Install Now or Install While
Vehicle Off .
u A notification appears on the screen if
the update is successful.
■How to Update
Models with TCU
1How to Update
You can update the system vi a Wi-Fi, but cannot use
the captive portal that requir es login or agreement to
the terms of use on the browser.
Your download will be canceled if:
•Your Wi-Fi connection is severed.
•You stop the engine when the battery is low on
power.
Your download will recommence the next time a Wi-
Fi connection is established.
For the battery protection, Install While Vehicle Off
cannot be selected when th e battery is low on power.
If you want to install the updated data, recharge the
battery or select Install Now.

If there is an active connection to Appl e CarPlay or
Android Auto, HondaLink ® can only be connected
through Wi-Fi.

AT&T Hotspot*
If you have subscribed to AT&T hotspot services, your vehicle will provide data to
connect your mobile devices to the Internet. You can use the AT&T Hotspot app to
turn on/off vehicle data and monitor data usage left on your subscription.
a Hotspot Enable
Turn on/off AT&T Hotspot.
b Plan Info
Shows your current AT&T subscription plan for the vehicle.
c Settings
Shows the current username and password for vehicle Hotspot. Settings can be
changed while the vehicle is not in motion.
d Refresh
Refreshes screen to show data remaining.
e Data Usage Bar
Check the current status of your data plan. This Usage Bar will show your current
plan and how much data remains on your plan. Subscription plans for AT&T Hotspot
can be added/modified at www.att.com/honda.

1 AT&T Hotspot*
To use AT&T Hotspot servic es, your vehicle must be
subscribed to a data plan . If your vehicle is not
subscribed to a data plan, you can visit www.att.com/
honda to add vehicle data services.
Hotspot username and pass word can be changed in
the Settings of the AT&T Hotspot app. Settings can
not be accessed while driving. Park in a safe place to
adjust Hotspot settings.
Alternatively, you can use your mobile hotspot to
connect the vehicle and other mobile devices to the

directions at a time. When you are using one system, directions to any prior
destination set on the other system will be canceled, and the system you are
currently using will direct you to your destination.
