Touch the button to switch theheated steering wheel on andoff.
Note:You can use the heated steeringwheel only when the engine is running.
Note:The system uses a sensor and isdesigned to control the temperature of thesteering wheel and to prevent it fromoverheating.
Note:In warm temperatures, the steeringwheel quickly reaches its maximumtemperature and the system reduces thecurrent to the heating element. This couldcause you to think that the system hasstopped working but it has not. This isnormal.

Cruise Control Indicator
It illuminates when you switchthe system on.
See Switching Cruise ControlOn and Off (page 184).
Direction Indicator
It illuminates when you switchon the left or right directionindicator or the hazard warningflasher. Flashes during operation. Anincrease in the rate of flashing warns of afailed indicator bulb.
Door Ajar Warning Lamp
Displays when the ignition is onand any door is not completelyclosed.
Engine Coolant TemperatureWarning Lamp
If it illuminates when your vehicleis moving, this indicates that theengine is overheating. Stop yourvehicle as soon as it is safe to do so andswitch the engine off. Have your vehiclechecked as soon as possible.
Fasten Seatbelt Warning Lamp
It illuminates and a chimesounds until you fasten theseatbelts.
Front Fog Lamp Indicator (If Equipped)
It illuminates when you switchthe front fog lamps on.
Headlamp High Beam Indicator
It illuminates when you switchthe high beam headlamps on. Itflashes when you use theheadlamp flasher.
Hood Ajar
It illuminates when the ignitionis on and you do not have thehood completely closed.
Lane Keeping System Lamp
Illuminates when the systemactivates.
Launch Control
Illuminates when this feature isready, including both slip controland engine RPM hold.
Illuminates when only engineRPM hold is active. See TrackUse (page 285).
Low Beam Malfunction
Lights when there is amalfunction with the low beamheadlamp bulb.
Low Fuel Level Warning Lamp
If it illuminates when you aredriving, refuel as soon aspossible.
Low Tire Pressure Warning Lamp
Illuminates when your tirepressure is low. If the lampremains on with the enginerunning or when driving, check your tirepressure as soon as possible.

Switching Recirculated Air On andOff
Press and release the button toswitch between outside air andrecirculated air.
The air currently in the passengercompartment recirculates. This mayreduce the time needed to cool the interiorwhen used with A/C, and reduce unwantedodors from entering your vehicle.
Note:Recirculated air may turn offautomatically, or prevent you from switchingon in all air flow modes except MAX A/C toreduce the risk of fogging. Recirculation mayalso turn on and off automatically in variousair distribution control combinations toimprove heating or cooling efficiency.

Automatic Climate Control
Note:Adjusting the settings when yourvehicle interior is extremely hot or cold isnot necessary. Automatic mode is bestrecommended to maintain set temperature.
Note:The system adjusts to heat or coolthe interior to the temperature you selectas quickly as possible.
Note:For the system to function efficiently,the instrument panel and side air ventsshould be fully open.
Note:If you select AUTO during coldoutside temperatures, the system directsair flow to the windshield and side windowair vents. In addition, the blower motor mayrun at a slower speed until the engine warmsup.
Note:If you select AUTO during hottemperatures and the inside of the vehicleis hot, the system uses recirculated air tomaximize interior cooling. Blower motorspeed may also reduce until the air cools.
Quickly Heating the Interior
1.Press and release AUTO.

cushion. This can cause the heated seatto overheat. Do not puncture the seatwith pins, needles or other pointedobjects. This damages the heatingelement and can cause the heated seatto overheat. An overheated seat maycause serious personal injury.
Note:Do not do the following:
•Place heavy objects on the seat.
•Operate the seat heater if water or anyother liquid spills on the seat. Allow theseat to dry thoroughly.
•Operate the heated seats unless theengine is running. Doing so can causethe battery to lose charge.
Press the heated seat symbol to cyclethrough the various heat settings and off.More indicator lights indicate warmersettings.
Cooled Seats
The cooled seats only function when theengine is running.
Press the cooled seat symbol to cyclethrough the various cool settings and off.More indicator lights indicate coolersettings.
If the engine falls below 350 RPM whilethe cooled seats are on, the feature turnsitself off. You will need to reactivate it.

PROGRAMMING THE GARAGE
DOOR OPENER TO YOUR
HAND-HELD TRANSMITTER
This process is to program your in-vehicleHomeLink function button with yourhand-held transmitter.
Note:The programming steps belowassume you will be programming HomeLinkthat was not previously programmed. If yourHomeLink was previously programmed, youmay need to erase your HomeLink buttons.See Clearing the Garage Door Opener(page 142).
1.With your vehicle parked outside of thegarage, switch your ignition to the onposition, but do not start your vehicle.
2.Press and release one of the threeHomeLink function buttons that youwould like to program.
3.Hold your hand-held garage doortransmitter 1–3 in (2–8 cm) away fromthe HomeLink button you want toprogram.
4.Press and hold the hand-heldtransmitter button you want toprogram while watching the indicatorlight on HomeLink. Continue to holdthe hand-held button until theHomeLink indicator light flashes rapidlyor is continuously on.
Note:You may need to use a differentmethod if you live in Canada or havedifficulties programming your gate operatoror garage door opener. See Programmingthe Garage Door Opener to Your GateOpener Motor (page 142).
5.Press and hold the HomeLink buttonyou programmed for two seconds, thenrelease. You may need to do this twiceto activate the door.
Note:If the indicator light stays on, theprogramming is complete.
Note:If the HomeLink indicator flashesrapidly, repeat step 5.
Note:If your device still does not operate,you must program your garage door. SeeProgramming the Garage Door Opener toYour Garage Door Opener Motor (page141).

Gate Operator / CanadianProgramming
Canadian radio-frequency laws requiretransmitter signals to “time-out” (or quit)after several seconds of transmission –which may not be long enough forHomeLink to pick up the signal duringprogramming. Similar to this Canadian law,some U.S. gate operators “time-out” in thesame manner.
Note:If programming a garage door openeror gate operator, it is advised to unplug thedevice during the “cycling” process toprevent possible overheating.
1.Press and release, every two seconds,your hand-held transmitter until theHomeLink indicator light changes to arapidly blinking or continuously on light.
2.Release the hand-held transmitterbutton.
3.Press and hold the HomeLink functionbutton you want to program for twoseconds, then release. You may needto do this twice to activate the door.
Note:If the indicator light stays on, theprogramming is complete.
