WHAT IS THE TIRE SEALANT
AND INFLATOR KIT
Tire Mobility Kit
The kit consists of an air compressor tore-inflate the tire and a canister of sealingcompound that will effectively seal mostpunctures. This kit will provide a temporarytire repair allowing you to drive your vehicleup to 120 mi (200 km) at a maximumspeed of 50 mph (80 km/h) to reach a tireservice location.

TIRE SEALANT AND INFLATOR
KIT PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: Failure to follow theseguidelines could result in an increasedrisk of loss of vehicle control, injury ordeath.
WARNING: Do not run the enginewhen operating the air compressorunless the vehicle is outdoors or in awell-ventilated area.
Note:Do not use the kit if a tire has becomeseverely damaged. Only punctures locatedwithin the tire tread can be sealed with thekit.
Do not attempt to repair punctures largerthan 0.24 in (6 mm) or damage to the tire'ssidewall. The tire may not completely seal.
•Drive carefully and avoid abruptsteering maneuvers.
•Periodically monitor tire inflationpressure in the affected tire; if the tireis losing pressure, have the vehicletowed.
•Read the information in the Tips forUse of the Kit section to make sure safeoperation of the kit and your vehicle.
After sealant use, the tire pressuremonitoring system sensor and valve stemon the wheel must be replaced by anauthorized dealer.
LOCATING THE TIRE SEALANT
AND INFLATOR KIT
The kit is located under the load floor inthe rear of the vehicle.

When the malfunction indicator isilluminated, the system may not be ableto detect or signal low tire pressure asintended. TPMS malfunctions may occurfor a variety of reasons, including theinstallation of replacement or alternatetires or wheels on the vehicle that preventthe TPMS from functioning properly.Always check the TPMS malfunctiontelltale after replacing one or more tires orwheels on your vehicle to ensure that thereplacement or alternate tires and wheelsallow the TPMS to continue to functionproperly.

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING
SYSTEM PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: The tire pressuremonitoring system is not a substitute formanually checking tire pressures. Youshould periodically check tire pressuresusing a pressure gauge. Failure tocorrectly maintain tire pressures couldincrease the risk of tire failure, loss ofcontrol, vehicle rollover and personalinjury.
WARNING: Do not use the tirepressure displayed in the informationdisplay as a tire pressure gauge. Failureto follow this instruction could result inpersonal injury or death.
WARNING: To determine therequired pressure(s) for your vehicle, seethe Safety Compliance CertificationLabel (on the door hinge pillar,door-latch post or the door edge thatmeets the door-latch post, next to thedriver seat) or the Tire Label on theB-Pillar or the edge of the driver door.
Note:The use of tire sealants can damagethe tire pressure monitoring system.
Note:If the tire pressure monitor sensorbecomes damaged it may not function.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING
SYSTEM LIMITATIONS
When the outside temperature dropssignificantly, the tire pressure coulddecrease and activate the low tire pressurewarning lamp.
The warning lamp could also illuminatewhen you use a spare wheel, or tire sealantfrom the inflator kit.

CHANGING A FLAT TIRE
WARNING: If the tire pressuremonitor sensor becomes damaged itmay not function.
If you get a flat tire while driving, do notapply the brake heavily. Instead, graduallydecrease your speed. Hold the steeringwheel firmly and slowly move to a safeplace on the side of the road.
Have a flat serviced by an authorizeddealer in order to prevent damage to thetire pressure monitoring system sensors.See What Is the Tire PressureMonitoring System (page 331). Replacethe spare tire with a road tire as soon aspossible. During repairing or replacing ofthe flat tire, have an authorized dealerinspect the tire pressure monitoring systemsensor for damage.
Note:The use of tire sealant could damageyour tire pressure monitoring sensor andshould only be used in roadsideemergencies. If you must use a sealant, usethe Tire Mobility Kit sealant. Replace the tirepressure monitoring system sensor andvalve stem on the wheel by an authorizeddealer after use of the sealant.
Note:The tire pressure monitoring systemindicator light will illuminate when the sparetire is in use. To restore the full function ofthe monitoring system, all road wheelsequipped with tire pressure monitoringsensors must be mounted on the vehicle.
Dissimilar Spare Wheel and TireAssembly Information
WARNING: Failure to follow theseguidelines could result in an increasedrisk of loss of vehicle control, injury ordeath.
If you have a dissimilar spare wheel andtire, then it is intended for temporary useonly. This means that if you need to use it,you should replace it as soon as possiblewith a road wheel and tire assembly thatis the same size and type as the road tiresand wheels that were originally providedon your vehicle. If the dissimilar spare tireor wheel is damaged, replace it instead ofrepairing it.
A dissimilar spare wheel and tire assemblyis defined as a spare wheel and tireassembly that is different in brand, size orappearance from the road tires and wheelsand can be one of three types:
1.T-type mini-spare: This spare tirebegins with the letter T for tire size andcould have Temporary Use Only moldedin the sidewall.
2.Full-size dissimilar spare with labelon wheel: This spare tire has a label onthe wheel that states: THIS WHEEL ANDTIRE ASSEMBLY FOR TEMPORARY USEONLY.
When driving with one of the dissimilarspare tires listed above, do not:
•Exceed 50 mph (80 km/h).
•Load the vehicle beyond maximumvehicle load rating listed on the SafetyCompliance Label.
•Tow a trailer.
•Use snow chains on the end of thevehicle with the dissimilar spare tire.
•Use more than one dissimilar spare tireat a time.
•Use commercial car washingequipment.
•Try to repair the dissimilar spare tire.
