Pa rking Assist PARKTRONIC is an electronic par k-
ing assistance system which monitors the area
sur rounding your vehicle and sho wsyouth e dis-
ta nce between theve hicle and a de tected obs ta-
cle visual lyand audib ly.
The passive side impact pr otection also warnsyou
of obstacles tothe side. These must be de tected
beforehand bythe sensors in the front or rear
bumper while driving bythem. If you steer in the
direction of a de tected obstacle and there is a risk
of a lateral collision, a warning is issued. The pas- sive side impact pr
otection can be activated and
deactivated via the multimedia system.
In order for front or rear obs tacles tothe side to
be displa yed, theve hicle must /r sttrave l a dis-
ta nce of at least half a vehicle length. Once the
ve hicle has tr avelled one vehicle length, obs tacles
on all sides can be shown.
Pa rking Assist PARKTRONIC is only an aid. It is
not a substitute foryo ur attention tothe sur round-
ings. The responsibility for safe manoeuvring and
parking remains with you. Make sure that there
are no persons, animals or objects in the manoeu-
vring area while manoeuvring and parking in/exit-
ing parking spaces. Display Display

Ac tive Parking Assist is an electronic parking
assistance system, which uses ultrasound with
th e assistance of the 360° Camera. When you are

Ac tive Parking Assist is only an aid. It is not a sub-
stitute foryo ur attention tothe sur roundings. The

If Ac tive Parking Assist is available, theÇ mes-
sage appears in the driver's displa y.When the
system de tects parking spaces, Èappears.
The ar rows show on which side of thero ad free
parking spaces are located. These are then shown
in the central displa y.
When Active Parking Assist is activated, the turn
signal indicators are activated based on the calcu-
lated path of your vehicle. When you are entering
or exiting a parking space, the procedure is assis-
