ro ute. This allo ws the system tooptimally adjust

energy and recuperate as much as possible. If the
system has de tected an event ahead or a vehicle in front and
theve hicle is approaching theev ent,
ECO Assist calculates the optimised speed pro/le
based on the distance, speed and available route
information.
If yo ure lease the accelerator pedal in this case,
intelligent recuperation starts in overrun mode. If
ECO Assist has de tected a vehicle tr avelling in
front or a stationary vehicle ahead, it can brake
yo ur vehicle toa standstill. This may be the case,
fo rex ample, at the end of a tra1c jam or if the
de tected vehicle ahead stops in front of you.
If th e deceleration pr ovided byECO Assist is not
su1cient, you must also brake with the service
brake.
At low speeds, e.g. in a multi-stor eycar park or on
play st reets, no adjustment is made for stationary
ve hicles and therefore there is no displa y. 1
