HomeLink® Universal Transceiver*
The HomeLink ® Universal Transceiver can be pr ogrammed to operate up to three
remote controlled devices around your hom e, such as garage doors, lighting, or
home security systems.
Refer to the safety information that came wi th your garage door opener to test that
the safety features are functioning prope rly. If you do not have the safety
information, contact the manufacturer.
Before programming HomeLink, make sure th at people and objects are out of the
way of the garage or gate to prevent potential injury or damage.
When programming a garage door opener, pa rk just outside the garage door’s path.

1HomeLink ® Universal Transceiver*
Before programming HomeLi nk to operate a garage
door opener, confirm that the opener has an external
entrapment protection system , such as an “electronic
eye,” or other safety and reverse stop features. If it
does not, HomeLink may not be able to operate it.
NOTE:
Some LED lightbulbs instal led in the garage door
opener can interfere with th e training and consistent
operation of your HomeLink device. Please consider
use of Low RF interference bulbs in your garage door
opener.

Before Performing Maintenance
Inspection and Maintenance
For your safety, perform all listed inspections and maintenance to keep your vehicle
in good condition. If you become aware of an y abnormality (noise, smell, insufficient
brake fluid, oil residue on the ground, etc.), have your vehicle inspected by a dealer.
(Note, however, that service at a dealer is not mandatory to keep your warranties in
effect.)

Perform inspections before long distance tri ps, when washing the vehicle, or when
refueling.

• Check the brake fluid level monthly.

■Types of Inspection and Maintenance
1Inspection and Maintenance
Maintenance, replacement, or repair of
emissions control devices and systems may be
done by any automotive repair establishment or
individuals using parts that are “certified” to
EPA standards.
According to state and fede ral regulations, failure to
perform maintenance on the maintenance main
items marked with # will not void your emissions
warranties. However, all ma intenance services should
be performed in accordan ce with the intervals
indicated by the driver information interface.

Replacing Light Bulbs
Headlights
Headlights are LED type. Have an authorized Honda dealer inspect and replace the
light assembly.
Fog Lights*
Fog lights are LED type. Have an authoriz ed Honda dealer inspect and replace the
light assembly.
Parking/Daytime Running Lights
Parking/daytime running lights are LED type . Have an authorized Honda dealer
inspect and replace the light assembly.
Front Turn Signal/Front Side Marker Lights
Front turn signal lights/front side marker lights are LED type. Have an authorized
Honda dealer inspect and re place the light assembly.
Side Turn Signal/Emergency Indicator Lights*
Door mirror side turn signal lights are LE D type. Have an authorized Honda dealer
inspect and replace the light assembly.
Brake/Taillights, Rear Turn Signal Lights and Rear
Side Marker Lights
Brake/taillights, rear turn sign al lights and rear side marker lights are LED type. Have
an authorized Honda dealer inspec t and replace the light assembly.
1Headlights
The headlight aim is set by the factory, and does not
need to be adjusted. Howeve r, if you regularly carry
heavy items in the cargo area, have the aiming
readjusted at a dealer or by a qualified technician.

Taillights and Back-Up Light Bulbs
When replacing, use the following bulbs.
1.Remove the cover by prying on the edge
using a flat-tip screwdriver.
u Wrap the flat-tip screwdriver with a cloth
to prevent scratches.
2. Turn the socket counter-clockwise and
remove it. Remove the old bulb.
3. Insert a new bulb.
Taillight: LED
Back-Up Light: 16W
