The
tailgate
can
be
opened
and
closed
with
no-
touch
activation
using
the
vehicle
key
you
are
carrying.
Two
sensors
detect
a
forward-directed foot
motion
in
the
central
rear
area
and
the
tail#j
gate
is
opened
and
closed.
General
information
Selector
lever
position

must
be
engaged
for
touchless
opening
of
the
tailgate.
To
avoid
locking
the
vehicle
key
in
the
vehicle, do
not
place
the
vehicle
key
in
the
cargo
area.
If
the
vehicle
key
is
in
the
sensor
area,
the
tail#j
gate
may
open
or
close
inadvertently
if
you
unin#j
tentionally
move
your
foot
or
if
a
foot
movement
is
detected.
The
sensor
has
an
approximate
range
of
5
ft/1.50
m
extending
from
the
rear

If

opened

activation, locked

Contactless

The
detection

foot
movement

to
the

external

Movement
in
the
range
of
the
sensors
may
cause
unintended
opening

closing

the cargo

cleaning

prevent
such
unintended
opening

closing
of
the
cargo
area
in
such
cases,
keep
the
vehicle
key
at

unlocking

Principle
The
vehicle
will
be
unlocked
when
the
driver

proaches

locked
vehicle
with
the
vehicle
key.

driver
walks
away
from

unlockedvehicle
with
the
vehicle
key,
the
vehicle
will
belocked.

authorizedvehicle

unlocking
zone.

is
