■ Outside temperature display
●In the following situations, the correct outside temperature ma y not be dis-
played, or the display may take longer than normal to change.
• When stopped, or driving at low speeds (less than 16 mph [25 k m/h])
• When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entr ance/
exit of a garage, tunnel, etc.)
● If “ ” is displayed continuously, the system may be malfunctioning. Ta k e
your vehicle to your Toyota dealer.
■ Adjusting the clock
The clocks can be adjusted on the audio system screen.
Refer to “MULTIMEDIA OWNER’S MANUAL”.
Instrument panel light control
NOTICE
■To prevent damage to the engine and its components
● Do not let the indicator needle of the tachometer enter the red zone, which
indicates the maximum engine speed.
● The engine may be overheating if the engine coolant temperature gauge
enters the red zone (“H”). In this case, immediately stop the v ehicle in a
safe place, and check the engine after it has cooled completely . (P. 470)

To take out the mechanical key,
slide the release lever and take
the key out.
The mechanical key can only be
inserted in one direction, as the
key only has grooves on one side.
If the key cannot be inserted in a
lock cylinder, turn it over and re-
attempt to insert it.
After using the mechanical key, store it in the electronic key. Carry the
mechanical key together with the electronic key. If the electro nic key bat-
tery is depleted or the entry function does not operate properl y, you will
need the mechanical key. ( P. 462)

New genuine keys can be made by your Toyota dealer using the ot her key
(vehicles without a smart key system) or mechanical key (vehicles with a
smart key system) and the key number stamped on your key number plate.
Keep the plate in a safe place such as your wallet, not in the vehicle.
Using the mechanical key (vehicles with a smart key system)
When is pressed for longer than
about one second, an alarm will sound
intermittently and the vehicle lights will
flash to deter any person from trying to
break into or damage your vehicle.
To stop the alarm, press any button on the
key (with a wireless remote control func-
tion) or electronic key.

Inside rear view mirror
The height of the rear view mirror can be adjusted to suit your driving
posture.
Adjust the height of the rear view
mirror by moving it up and down.
Reflected light from the headlights of vehicles behind can be r educed
by operating the lever.
Normal position
Anti-glare position
The rear view mirror’s position ca n be adjusted to enable suffi-
cient confirmation of the rear view.
