eCall) is activated in theve hicle, the accident
data is transmitted directly tothe public

measures can be take n up toan hour aTer the
emer gency call has been initia ted:
R The cur rent vehicle position can be de ter-
mined.
R Avo ice connection totheve hicle occupants
can be es tablished.
R Emer gency call data can be called up.
% ForRu ssia: various functions, e.g. receiving
tra1c information, cannot be per form ed for

ur car veri/es the operability of the emer gency
call system each time theve hicle is ON. In case of
system failure, you will be informed with text mes-
sage on the inst rument cluster and with red indi-
cator SOS NOT READY on the displa y.
Please, ma kesure, that during 30 seconds aTer
switching vehicle ON there d indicator SOS NOT
READY in the upper right corner of display is switched OFF,
this means the emer gency call sys-

All processing of pe rsonal data via the Mercedes-
Benz emer gency call system cor responds with the
speci/cations in the EU Regulation 2016/679 "on
th e pr otection of individuals with rega rd tothe
processing of personal data (GDPR)".
The data is solely used bythe Mercedes-Benz
emer gency call system forre scue and reco very in
th eev ent of an accident.
The owner of a vehicle, that is equipped with a
Mercedes-Benz emer gency call system in addition
to the 112 emer gency call system (EU eCall), has MBUX multimedia system

All processing of personal data via the 112 emer-
ge ncy call system (EU eCall) cor responds with the
speci/cations in the EU Regulation 2016/679 "on
th e pr otection of individuals with rega rd tothe
processing of personal data (GDPR)" and is based
particular lyon the necessity of upholding the vital
interests of the a.ected person in accordance
with Article 6, Clause 1, Letter d of the GDPR.
The processing of this type of data is strictly limi-
te dto the purpose of operating the emer gency
calls tothe standard European emer gency call
number 112.

Bo th emer gency call systems are designed so that
th efo llowing requ irements are ful/lled:
R The data contained in the system memory is
not accessible outside the system prior tothe
initiation of an emer gency call.
R Both emer gency call systems cannot be
traced and there is no continuous tracking in
normal operation.
R The data in the system's internal memory is
automatically and continuously dele ted.
R The location data of theve hicle is continu-
ously overwritten in the system's internal
memor y,so that no more than the last three
cur rent locations requ ired forth e normal func-
tion of the system are available.
R The record of the activity data of bo themer-
ge ncy call systems is only kept for as long as
is required toful/l the purpose of handling theemer
gency call, ho weverfo r no longer than
13 hours aTer the time that an emer gency call
is initia ted.

The person a.ected bythe data processing (the
ve hicle owner) has theright toaccess the data
and if applicable can demand the cor rection, dele-
tion or bar ring of data that a.ects him or her and
th at the processing of which does not cor respond
with the GDPR regulations. Each cor rection, dele-
tion or bar ring ca rried out according tothis regu-
lation must be shared with theth ird party to
which the data has been transmitted, pr ovided
th is does not pr ovetobe infeasible and does not
incur disproportionate expenditure.
The person a.ected bythe data processing has
th eright tocomplain tothe appropriate data pro-
te ction authority should they be of the opinion
th at their rights ha vebeen infri ngedbythe pro-
cessing of their personal data.
