Driving
To change the set speed, operate the lever until the desired set speed is obtained.
Increases the speed
Decreases the speed
Fine adjustment: Momentarily move the
lever in the desired direction.
Large adjustment: Hold the lever in the
desired direction.
The set speed will be increased or decreased as follows:
Fine adjustment: By 1 mph (1.6 km/h)
*1 or 1 km/h (0.6 mph)*2 each time the lever is
operated
Large adjustment: The set speed can be increased or decreased continually until the
lever is released.
*1: When the set speed is shown in “MPH”
*2: When the set speed is shown in “km/h”
Pulling the lever toward you cancels
the constant speed control.
The speed setting is also canceled when
the brakes are applied.
Pushing the lever up resumes the
constant speed control.
Resuming is available when the vehicle
speed is more than approximately 25
mph (40 km/h).
■Cruise control can be set when
●The shift lever is in the D or range 4 or higher of S has been selected.
●Range 4 or higher has been selected by using the paddle shift. (vehicles with paddle
shift switches)
●Vehicle speed is above approximately 25 mph (40 km/h).
■Accelerating after setting the vehicle speed
●The vehicle can be accelerated normally. After acceleration, the set speed resumes.
●Even without canceling the cruise control, th e set speed can be increased by first accel-
erating the vehicle to the desired speed and then pushing the lever down to set the new
speed.

■Automatic cruise control cancelation
Cruise control will stop main
taining the vehicle speed in an y of the following situations:
●Actual vehicle speed falls more than appr oximately 10 mph (16 km/h) below the preset
vehicle speed.
At this time, the memorized set speed is not retained.
●Actual vehicle speed is below approximately 25 mph (40 km/h).
●VSC is activated.
●Active TRAC is activated for a period of time.
●The switching operation continues for 5 seco nds or more after the center differential
lock switch has been operated.
●When the VSC or Active TR AC system is turned off.
■If “Cruise Control Malfunction Visit Your Dealer” is shown on the multi-information
display
Press the “ON/OFF” button once to deactiv ate the system, and then press the button
again to reactivate the system.
If the cruise control speed cannot be set or if the cruise control cancels immediately after
being activated, there may be a malfunction in the cruise control system. Have the vehi-
cle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
WARNING
■To avoid operating the cruise control by mistake
Switch the cruise control off using th e “ON/OFF” button when not in use.
■Situations unsuitable for cruise control
Do not use cruise control in any of the following situations.
Doing so may result in loss of control and could cause an accident resulting in death or
serious injury.
●In heavy traffic
●On roads with sharp bends
●On winding roads
●On slippery roads, such as thos e covered with rain, ice or snow
●On steep hills
Vehicle speed may exceed the set speed when driving down a steep hill.
●When your vehicle is towing a trailer or during emergency towing

Driving mode select switch
Normal mode/Customized mode
Normal mode and customized mode ar
e selected by pressing the driving
mode select switch. Each time the switch is pressed, the driving mode
changes between normal mode and customized mode. When customized
mode is selected, the “CUSTOMIZE” indicator will be illuminated.
Press the switch to change the driving mode to normal mode when not in normal
mode.
• Normal mode Provides an optimal balance of fuel economy, quietness, and dynamic per-
formance. Suitable for city driving.
• Customized mode Allows you to drive with the following functions set to your preferred set-
tings.
Customized mode settings can only be changed on the drive mode cus-
tomization display of the Remote touch screen. ( P. 584)
The driving modes can be selected to suit driving condition.

Comfort mode
By controlling the suspension, riding comfort is further enha
nced. Suitable for
city driving.
When not in comfort mode and the driving mode select switch is turned to the left, the
“COMFORT” indicator comes on in the multi-information display.
Eco drive mode
Helps the driver accelerate in an eco-fr iendly manner and improve fuel econ-
omy through moderate throttle charact eristics and by controlling the opera-
tion of the air conditioning system (heating/cooling).
When in comfort mode, if the driving mode select switch is turned to the left, the
“ECO” indicator will come on in the multi-information display.
Sport mode
•SPORT S mode
Controls the transmission and engine to provide quick, powerful accelera-
tion. This mode is suitable for when agile driving response is desired, such
as when driving on roads with many curves.
When not in SPORT S mode, if the driving mode select switch is turned to the
right, the “SPORT S” indicator will co me on in the multi-information display.
•SPORT S+ mode
Helps to ensure steering performanc e and driving stability by simultane-
ously controlling the steeri ng and suspension in addition to the transmis-
sion and engine. Suitable for sportier driving.
When in SPORT S mode, if the driving mode select switch is turned to the right,
the “SPORT S+” indicator will come on in the multi-information display.

■Operation of the air conditioning system in Eco drive mode
Eco drive mode controls the heating/cooling operations and fan speed of the air condi-
tioning system to enhance fuel efficiency. To improve air conditioning performance,
adjust the fan speed or turn off eco mode of the air conditioning system. (P. 407)
■Automatic deactivation of sport mode and customized mode
If the engine switch is turned off after dr iving in sport mode or customized mode, the
drive mode will be changed to normal mode.
■Driving mode pop-up display
When the driving mode is changed, the sele cted driving mode will be temporarily dis-
played on the side display. ( P. 400)

To turn the system on, press the switch.
The indicator light comes on to inform
the driver that the system is operational.

The distance from your vehicle to nearby obstacles when parallel parking or
maneuvering into a garage is measured by the sensors and communicated via
the multi-information display, the remo te touch screen, and a buzzer. Always
check the surrounding area when using this system.
