STORAGE
Glove Compartment
The glove compartment is located on the
passenger side of the instrument panel.
To open the glove compartment, pull the release
handle.

Front Door Storage
Both interior front door panels have multiple
pockets for storage.
Overhead Sunglass Storage
At the front of the overhead console, a
compartment is provided for the storage of one
pair of sunglasses.From the closed position, push the intention to
open the compartment.

WARNING!
If containers of hot liquid are placed in the bottle
holder, they can spill when the door is closed,
burning the occupants. Be careful when closing
the doors to avoid injury.

USB Charging Port In The Floor Tray

NOTE:The USB outlet in the bottom of the instrument
panel can be switched from ignition only to
constant battery powered all the time. See an
authorized dealer for details.

NOTE:The USB “Charge Only” ports will recharge battery
operated USB devices when connected.
Different scenarios are listed below when a
non-phone device is plugged into the smaller and
larger USB ports, and when a phone device is
plugged into the smaller and larger USB ports:
“A new device is now connected. Previous
connection was lost”.
“(Phone Name) now connected. Previous
connection was lost”.
“Another device is in use through the same USB
port. Please disconnect the first device to use
the second device”.
Plugging in a phone or another USB device may
cause the connection to a previous device to be
lost.
POWER OUTLETS
Your vehicle is equipped with 12 Volt (15 Amp)
power outlets, and 5 Volt (2.5 Amp) USB ports, that
can be used to power cellular phones, small
electronics and other low powered electrical
accessories. The power outlets can be labeled with
either a “key” or a “battery” symbol to indicate how
the outlet is powered. Power outlets labeled with a
“key” are powered when the ignition is in the ON or
ACC position, while the outlets labeled with a
“battery” are connected directly to the battery and
powered at all times.
NOTE:All accessories connected to the “battery” powered
outlets should be removed or turned off when the
vehicle is not in use to protect the battery against
discharge.
CAUTION!
Power outlets are designed for accessory plugs
only. Do not insert any other object in the power
outlets as this will damage the outlet and blow
the fuse. Improper use of the power outlet can
cause damage not covered by your New Vehicle
Limited Warranty.

The front power outlet is located at the bottom of
the instrument panel.

12 Volt Front Power Outlet

In addition to the front power outlets, there is also
a power outlet located in the rear cargo area.
The rear power outlet is located in the right rear
cargo area.

WARNING!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Only devices designed for use in this type of
outlet should be inserted into any 12 Volt
outlet.
Do not touch with wet hands.
Close the lid when not in use and while driving
the vehicle.
If this outlet is mishandled, it may cause an
electric shock and failure.
CAUTION!
Many accessories that can be plugged in draw
power from the vehicle's battery, even when
not in use (i.e., cellular phones, etc.). Eventu
-
ally, if plugged in long enough, the vehicle's
battery will discharge sufficiently to degrade
battery life and/or prevent the engine from
starting.
Accessories that draw higher power (i.e.,
coolers, vacuum cleaners, lights, etc.) will
degrade the battery even more quickly. Only
use these intermittently and with greater
caution.
After the use of high power draw accessories,
or long periods of the vehicle not being started
(with accessories still plugged in), the vehicle
must be driven a sufficient length of time to
allow the generator to recharge the vehicle's
battery.

Using the above ways to open or close the liftgate:
When the liftgate is fully closed, the liftgate will
open
When the liftgate is fully open, the liftgate will
close
When the liftgate is moving, the liftgate will
reverse
Push the Power Liftgate button on the overhead
console to open or close the liftgate.
Push the liftgate button on the key fob twice within
five seconds to open or close the liftgate.

Overhead Console Power Switches
The key fob and the overhead console button will
operate the liftgate when the liftgate is locked. The
outside handle requires the liftgate to be unlocked.
If the vehicle is equipped with Passive Entry,
pressing the touch pad on the outside handle will
unlock and open the liftgate, with a valid Passive
Entry key fob within 5 ft (1.5 m) of the liftgate
handle.
NOTE:Tones are sounded and the turn signals are
flashed with liftgate movements. These alerts can
be turned on or off in Uconnect Settings
Úpage 142.
To Close The Liftgate
The liftgate can also be closed using the Rear
Interior Power Liftgate button (if equipped), located
in the upper left trim in the liftgate opening.

To Lock The Vehicle
With a valid Passive Entry key fob within 5 ft
(1.5 m) of the liftgate, pushing the Passive Entry
lock button located to the right of the outside
handle will lock the vehicle.
CARGO AREA FEATURES
Cargo Area Storage
When the third row seats are not in the stowed
position, there is a large area for cargo storage.

Rear Cargo Area

NOTE:With all rear seats stowed or removed, 4 x 8 ft
(1.2 x 2.4 m) sheets of building material will fit on
the vehicle floor with the liftgate closed. The front
seats must be moved slightly forward of the
rearmost position.

Loss of the battery charge may indicate one or
more of the following conditions:
The charging system cannot deliver enough
electrical power to the vehicle system because
the electrical loads are larger than the capability
of charging system. The charging system is still
functioning properly.
Turning on all possible vehicle electrical loads
(e.g. HVAC to max settings, exterior and interior
lights, overloaded power outlets +12 Volts,
150W, USB ports) during certain driving condi -
tions (city driving, towing, frequent stopping).
Installing options like additional lights, upfitter
electrical accessories, audio systems, alarms
and similar devices.
Unusual driving cycles (short trips separated by
long parking periods).
The vehicle was parked for an extended period
of time (weeks, months).
The battery was recently replaced and was not
charged completely.
The battery was discharged by an electrical load
left on when the vehicle was parked.
The battery was used for an extended period
with the engine not running to supply radio,
lights, chargers, +12 Volt portable appliances
like vacuum cleaners, game consoles and
similar devices. What to do when an electrical load reduction
action message is present (“Battery Saver On” or
“Battery Saver Mode”)
During a trip:
Reduce power to unnecessary loads if possible:
Turn off redundant lights
(interior or exterior)
Check what may be plugged in to power
outlets +12 Volts, 150W, USB ports
Check HVAC settings (blower, temperature)
Check the audio settings (volume)
After a trip:
Check if any aftermarket equipment was
installed (additional lights, upfitter electrical
accessories, audio systems, alarms) and review
specifications if any (load and Ignition Off Draw
currents).
Evaluate the latest driving cycles (distance,
driving time and parking time).
The vehicle should have service performed if
the message is still present during consecutive
trips and the evaluation of the vehicle and
driving pattern did not help to identify the cause.
TRIP COMPUTER
The Trip Computer is located in the instrument
cluster display. Push and release the up or
down arrow button until “Trip Info” is
highlighted in the instrument cluster display.
Navigate between Trip A or Trip B by using the
right and left arrow buttons.
For each trip the following information will be
displayed:
Trip A
Shows the total distance traveled for Trip A
since the last reset.
Shows the Average MPG for Trip A since the last
reset.
Shows the elapsed time traveled for Trip A since
the last reset. Elapsed time will increment when
the ignition switch is in the ON or START posi -
tion.
Trip B
Shows the total distance traveled for Trip B
since the last reset.
Shows the Average MPG for Trip B since the last
reset.
Shows the elapsed time traveled for Trip B
since the last reset. Elapsed time will increment
when the ignition switch is in the ON or START
position.

SiriusXM® Setup
Restore Settings To Default
NOTE:A subscription to SiriusXM® satellite radio is required for these settings to be functional.
When the SiriusXM® Setup button is pressed on the touchscreen, the system displays options related to SiriusXM® satellite radio. These settings can be used
to skip specific radio channels and restart favorite songs from the beginning.
Setting Name Description
Tune StartThis setting will play the current song from the beginning when you tune to a music channel using
one of the 12 presets.
Channel Skip This setting allows you to set channels that you wish to skip. A channel list will display of the
skipped channels.
Subscription Information This menu provides SiriusXM® subscription information. SiriusXM® Travel Link is a
separate subscription.
When the Restore Settings To Default button is pressed on the touchscreen, the system displays the options related to resetting the Uconnect system back to
its default settings. These settings can clear personal data and reset selected settings from other menus.

factory default.
Reset App Drawer to Default Order This setting will reset the app drawer to its factory default layout.
Clear Personal Data This setting will display a pop-up that gives you the option to clear all personal data from the system,

Care And Maintenance
Do not press the touchscreen with any hard or
sharp objects (pen, USB stick, jewelry, etc.),
which could scratch the surface.
Do not spray any liquid or chemicals directly on
the screen! Use a clean and dry microfiber lens
cleaning cloth in order to clean the touchscreen.
If necessary, use a lint-free cloth dampened
with a cleaning solution, such as isopropyl
alcohol or an isopropyl alcohol and water solu -
tion ratio of 50:50. Be sure to follow the solvent
manufacturer's precautions and directions

UCONNECT MODES
STEERING WHEEL AUDIO CONTROLS
The remote sound system controls are located on
the rear surface of the steering wheel at the three
and nine o’clock positions.
Remote Sound System Controls

The right-hand control is a rocker-type switch with
a push button in the center and controls the
volume and mode of the sound system. Pushing
the top of the rocker switch will increase the
volume, and pushing the bottom of the rocker
switch will decrease the volume.
Pushing the center button will make the radio
switch between the various modes available
(AM/FM/SXM or Media, etc.).
The left-hand control is a rocker-type switch with a
push button in the center. The function of the
left-hand control is different depending on which
mode you are in. The following describes the left-hand control
operation in each mode:
Radio Operation
Pushing the top of the switch will Seek Up for the
next available station and pushing the bottom of
the switch will Seek Down for the next available
station.
The button located in the center of the left-hand
control will tune to the next preset station that you
have programmed in the radio presets.
Media Mode
Pushing the top of the switch skips to
the next track on the selected media
(AUX/USB/Bluetooth®). Pushing the switch up
twice will go forward two tracks. Pushing the
bottom switch goes to the beginning of the current
track, or the beginning of the previous track if it is
within eight seconds after the current track begins
to play. Double pressing the bottom button switch
will skip to the previous track if it is after eight
seconds into the current track.5

No Subscription
Radios equipped with a Satellite receiver require a
subscription to the SiriusXM® Service. When the
radio does not have the necessary subscription,
the radio is able to receive the Preview channel
only.

The Satellite Mode is activated by a press of the
SXM button on the touchscreen. When in Satellite Mode:
The SXM button on the touchscreen is
highlighted.
The SiriusXM® Presets are displayed at the top
of the screen.
The SiriusXM® Channel Number is displayed in
the center.
The Program Information is displayed at the
bottom of the Channel Number.
The SiriusXM® function buttons are displayed
below the Program Information.
Tuning is done by operating the Tune Knob or by
Direct Tune, similar to other Radio Bands.
In addition to the tuning operation functions
common to all radio modes, the replay, Traffic/
Weather button, and Favorite button functions are
available in SiriusXM® Mode.
