Concept
The
seat
climate
control
combines
the
functions
of
the
seat
heating
and
active
seat
ventilation.
General
informationThe
seat
heating
and
active
seat
ventilation
are
operated
with
a
common
button
on
the
climate
control
panel.
When
both
systems
are
active,
a
push
of
the
but#j
ton
reduces
the
intensity
of
both
functions
by one
level
each.
The
last
active
function
or
function
that
is
config#j ured
with
higher
intensity
will
be
activated
di#j
rectly
when
the
system
is
switched
on
again.
When
both
functions
with
the
same
intensity configuration
are
deactivated,
the
system
will
au#j
tomatically
activate
the
seat
heating.

external
temperature
at
which
the
functions
are
to
be
automatically
activated
can
be
set
via
iDrive.
Activation
is
performed
if
the
external
tempera#j ture
exceeds
or
falls
below
the
set
temperature
in
the
first
few
minutes
after
drive-ready
state
has
been
switched
on.
A
new
alignment
is

ried
out
after
the
settings
have
been
changed.
Depending
on
the
equipment
package,
the

years
of
age
or
shorter

be
transported

rear
seat
in
suitable
child
restraint
systems

for
the
age,
weight
and
size
of
the
child.Children
13

age

older
must
wear
asafety
belt
as
soon
as

child

used

Seat
position
and
height
Before
installing
a
child
restraint
system,
move
the
front
passenger
seat
as
far
back
as
it
will
go
and,

possible,
bring
it
up
to
the
highest
posi#j tion.
This
seat
position
and
height
ensure
thebest
possible
position
for
the
belt
and
offers
opti#jmal
protection
in
the
event
of
an
accident.
If
the
upper
anchor
of
the
safety
belt
is
located
in front
of
the
belt
guide
of
the
child
seat,
move
the
front
passenger
seat
carefully
forward
until
the best
possible
belt
guide
position
is
reached.
Backrest
width
Adjustable
backrest
width:
before
installing
a child
restraint
system
in
the
front
passenger
seat,open
the
backrest
width
completely.
Do
notchange
the
backrest
width
again
and
do
not
callup
a
memory
position.
Child
seat
security
The
safety
belts
in
the
rear
and

front

permanently
locked
