information
Depending
on
the
situation,
the
vehicle
is
in
one
of
the
three
states:

Idle
state
Concept
When
the
vehicle
is
in
idle
state,
it
is
switched
off.
All
power
consumers
are
deactivated.
General
information The
vehicle
is
in
idle
state
prior
to
opening
from
the
outside
and
after
exiting
and
locking.
Safety
information
Warning
An
unsecured
vehicle
can
begin
to
move
and
possibly
roll
away.
There
is
a
risk
of
accident.
Before
exiting,
secure
the
vehicle
against
roll#j
ing.
In
order
to
ensure
that
the
vehicle
is
secured against
rolling
away,
follow
the
following:
'xSet
the
parking
brake.'xOn
uphill
grades
or
on
a
downhill
slope,
turn
the
front
wheels
in
the
direction
of
the
curb.'xOn
uphill
grades
or
on
a
downhill
slope,
also
secure
the
vehicle,

instance
with

wheel

Unattended
children

animals
in
the
vehicle
can

the

the

Display
in
the

The
drivetrain
is switched
off
and
standby
state
switched
on.
Drive-ready
state
Concept
Switching
on
drive-ready
state
corresponds
to
starting
the
engine.
General
information Some
functions,
such
as
DSC
Dynamic
StabilityControl,
can
only
be
used
with
drive-ready
state
switched
on.
Safety
information
DANGER
If
the
exhaust
pipe
is
blocked
or
ventilation
is
in#j
sufficient,
harmful
exhaust
gases
can
enter
into the
vehicle.
The
exhaust
gases
contain
pollu#j
tants
which
are
colorless
and
odorless.
In
en#j
closed
areas,
exhaust
gases
can
also
accumu#j
late
outside
of
the
vehicle.
There
is
danger
to
life.
Keep
the
exhaust
pipe
free
and
ensure

ficient
ventilation.

An

activated
automatically

brief
time
and
is
stopped
as
soon
as
the
engine
starts.
Most

the
indicator/warning
lights
in

Gasoline
engine
Depending
on
the
motorization,
the
full
drive
power
may
not
be
available
for
approximately
30
seconds
after
starting
the
engine.
In
this
case,
the
vehicle
will
not
accelerate
as
usual.

drive-ready
state
is
switched
on,
the

ometer
shows
the
current
engine
speed.
