■Turning off both TRAC and VSC systems
To turn the TRAC and VSC systems off, press and hold for more than 3
seconds while the vehicle is stopped.
The VSC OFF indicator will come on and the “TRAC OFF” is displa yed on the
multi-information display.
Press again to turn the systems back on.
Pre-collision brake assist and pre-collision braking will also be disabled. The
PCS warning light will come on and the message is shown on the multi-infor-
mation display. ( P. 237)
■ When the message is displayed on the multi-information display show-
ing that TRAC has been disab led even if has not been pressed
TRAC and hill-start assist control cannot be operated. Contact your Toyota
dealer.
■ Sounds and vibrations caused by the ABS, brake assist, VSC, TRAC and
hill-start assist control systems
Any of the following conditions may occur when the above system s are oper-
ating. None of these indicates that a malfunction has occurred.
● Vibrations may be felt through the vehicle body and steering.
● A motor sound may be heard after the vehicle comes to a stop.
● The brake pedal may pulsate slightly after the ABS is activated .
● The brake pedal may move down slightly after the ABS is activat ed.
■ ECB operating sound
ECB operating sound may be heard in the following cases, but it does not
indicate that a malfunction has occurred.
● Operating sound heard from motor compartment when the brake ped al is
operated.
● Motor sound of the brake system heard from the front part of th e vehicle
when the driver’s door is opened.
● Operating sound heard from the motor compartment when 1 or 2 mi nutes
passed after the stop of the fuel cell system.
■ EPS operation sound
When the steering wheel is operated, a motor sound (whirring so und) may be
heard. This does not indicate a malfunction.

Touch .
The dehumidification function begi ns to operate. Air outlets and fan
speed are automatically adjusted according to the temperature s et-
ting.
Adjust the temperature setting.

The cooling and dehumidificati on function switches between on a nd
off each time is touched.
To stop the operation, touch .
■Automatic mode indicator
If the fan speed setting or air flow modes are operated, the au to-
matic mode indicator goes off. However, automatic mode for func -
tions other than that o perated are maintained.
■Switching between outside air and recirculated air modes
Press .
The mode switches between outside air mode (indicator off) and recir-
culated air mode (indicator on) each time is pressed.
■
Using the ECO HEAT/COOL mode
Touch .
is displayed on the air conditioning screen, and the air condi tion-
ing is controlled with low fuel consumption prioritized. When is
touched and held, is displayed on the screen, and the air cond i-
tioning is controlled, even more, with low fuel consumption pri oritized.
(The air conditioning will have more reserved operation.)
When canceling ECO HEAT/COOL mode, touch the again.
may be canceled when other air conditioning operation switches
are touched.

When the outside t emperature is low
The dehumidification function may not operate even when is pre ssed.
■ Ventilation and air conditioning odors
●To let fresh air in, set the air conditioning system to the out side air mode.
● During use, various odors from inside and outside the vehicle m ay enter into
and accumulate in the air conditioning system. This may then ca use odor to
be emitted from the vents.
● To reduce potential odors from occurring:
• It is recommended that the air conditioning system be set to o utside air
mode prior to turning the vehicle off.
• The start timing of the blower may be delayed for a short peri od of time
immediately after the air conditioning system is started in aut omatic
mode.

■ Changing the response of the swit ch for the air conditioning operation
panel
The reaction time, from when the switch is touched, can be changed by the
following operations.
The air conditioning cannot be operated during following operat ion.
Touch (decrease) and for about 3 seconds.
“01” ~ “05” is displayed in the monitor of the passenger side t empera-
ture.
Each time is touched, the reaction time switches over as follo ws.
01 (about 0.06 sec.) 02 (about 0.08 sec.) 03 (about 0.10 sec.)
04 (about 0.12 sec.) 05 (about 0.14 sec.)
With the desired setting displayed, without switching over the screen by
performing touch operations for about 5 seconds, when the power
switch is turned off the configuration is complete.

The pop-up displays, when the switch is touched, can be turned ON/OFF by
the following operations.
The air conditioning cannot be operated during following operat ion.

“ON” or “OFF” is displayed in the monitor of the passenger side tem-
perature.
Each time is touched, the monitor switches over between ON/
OFF.
With “ON” or “OFF” displayed, without switching over the screen by per-
forming touch operations for about 5 seconds, when the power switch is
turned off the configuration is complete.

■Conditions in which the function may not operate correctly
In the following conditions, it may not operate correctly
● The portable device is fully charged
● There is foreign matter between the charge area and portable de vice
● The temperature of the portable device gets higher from charging
● The charging surface of the portable device is facing up
● The placement of the portable device is out of alignment with t he charge
area
● Near a TV tower, electric power plant, gas station, radio stati on, large dis-
play, airport or other facility that generates strong radio wav es or electrical
noise
● When the electronic key is in contact with, or is covered by th e following
metallic objects
• Cards to which aluminum foil is attached
• Cigarette boxes that have aluminum foil inside
• Metallic wallets or bags
• Coins
• Hand warmers made of metal
• Media such as CDs and DVDs
● When other wireless keys (that emit radio waves) are being used nearby
In addition, excluding the above-mentioned, when the charger do es not per-
form normally or the operation display lamp is flashing continu ously, it is
considered that the wireless charger is malfunctioning. Contact your Toyota
dealer.
■ To prevent failure or damage to data
● Do not bring magnetic cards, such as credit cards, or magnetic recording
media, etc., close to the charger while charging, otherwise, da ta may dis-
appear under the influence of magnetism. Also, do not bring pre cision
instruments such as wrist watches, etc., close to the charger, as such
objects may break.
● Do not leave portable devices in the cabin. The temperature ins ide the
cabin may become high, when under the sun, and cause damage to the
device.
■ To prevent 12-volt b attery discharge
When the fuel cell system is stopped, do not use the wireless c harger for a
long time.

Reprogramming a single HomeLink button
When the following procedure is performed, buttons which alread y
have devices registered to them can be overwritten:
With one hand, press and hold the desired HomeLink
button.
When the HomeLink
indicator starts flashing (orange), continue
to hold the HomeLink button and perform “Programming
HomeLink” (it takes 20 seconds for the HomeLink indicator
to start flashing).
Press the appropriate HomeLink
button. The HomeLink indicator
light should turn on.
The status of the opening and
closing of a garage door is shown
by the indicators.

The indicators can operate within approximately 820 ft. (250 m) of the
garage door. However, if there are obstructions between the gar age
door and the vehicle, such as h ouses and trees, feedback signal s
from the garage door may not be received.
To recall the previous door operation status, press and release either
HomeLink
buttons and or and simultane-
ously. The last record ed status will be displayed for 3 seconds .
