Yo u will hear a click and the mir ror will audi‐
bly click into place. The outside mir ror will
now be set tothe cor rect position. Au
tomatic anti-dazzle mir rors function &

soning due tothe anti-dazzle mir ror elec‐
trolyte
Electrolyte may escape if theglass in an
automatic anti-dazzle mir ror breaks. The electrolyte is hazardous
tohealth and
causes ir rita tion. It mu stnot come into con‐
ta ct with your skin, eyes,respiratory or gans
or clo thing or be swallo wed. #
Ifyo u come into contact with electro‐
ly te , obser vethefo llowing:
R Immediately rinse the electrolyte
from your skin with water and seek
medical attention.
R If electrolyte comes into contact
with your eyes, immediately rinse
th em thoroughly with clean water
and seek medical attention.
R Ifth e electrolyte is swallo wed,
immediately rinse your mouth out
th oroughl y.Do not induce vomiting.

Makesure that all vehicle occupants
alw ays maintain a suf ficient dist ance
from the air vents. #
If necessa ry, direct the air flow to
ano ther area of theve hicle interior. To
guarantee theflow of fresh air thro ugh the air
ve nts into theve hicle interior, comply with the
fo llowing:
R Alw ayske ep theve nts and theve nt grille in
th eve hicle interior free.
R Keep the air inlet free of deposits
(/ page 296). #
Toopen or close: turn controller1tothe
left or right. #
Toadjust the airflow direction (centre air
ve nts): holdthe air vent 2 bythe slats in
th e cent reand mo veit up or down or tothe
left or right.
To adjust the air flow direction of a side air vent,
hold controller 1and mo veit up or down or to

th e sensors adjust automatically while a cer‐

has been delivered or af terre pairs. Full sys‐ te
m ef fectiveness is not reached until the
end of this teach-in process.
R brakepads, brake discs and tyres that are
either new or ha vebeen replaced only ach‐
ie ve optimum braking ef fect and grip af ter
se veral hundred kilom etre s of driving. Com‐
pensate forth ere duced braking ef fect by
applying greaterfo rc eto the brake pedal. Note

The actual (maximum) values that can be
achie vedfo r engine output and engine tor‐
qu e may deviate from the certified values
within the count ry-specific guidelines for
permissible tolerances (basis: UN-ECE No.
85 or country -specific guidelines).

R fuel grade
R outside temp erature
R operating temp erature of the engine Unti
lth e engine has reached its operating tem‐
perature, thefo llowing engine operating temp er‐

lamp goes out, full engine output and engine tor‐

Brake callipers, brake hoses and brake lines
Check thefo llowing for dama geeach time
before driving theve hicle on a racetrack:
R The du stboots on the brake callipers
R The brake hoses and brake lines
Re place them if necessar y.
Brake cooling
Special air deflectors and channels are fitted to
th e front and rear axles so that the brakes are
cooled suf ficiently. They supply the brake disks
with cooling air. Check that they are in per fect
condition and cor rectly fitted ea chtime be fore
driving theve hicle on a racetrac k.Excessi ve
we ar can be caused bydriving overke rbs, for
ins tance. Forth is reason, regularly check they
are all comple teand fitted securely.
In addition, check that the air guide plates are
seated securely and clean before and af ter driv‐
ing theve hicle on a racetrac k. Obser
vethe information on the cooling of com‐
ponents which are subject tostra in in when driv‐
