Make

open thetailgate fullywhen settingthe open-
ing angle. Thetailgate couldotherwisebe
damaged. Ideally,setthe opening angleout-
side.
You canlimit theopening angleofthe tailgate.
This could beuseful, forexample, ifthere is
insuffic ientspace above thetailgate. Itis pos-
sible tolimit thetailgate inthe top half ofits
opening range.
To open thetailgate fully,pullthehandle onthe
outside ofthe tailgate againafterithas stopped
automatic ally.This does notdelete thestor ed
position .

with power tilt/sliding panelisclosed, the
roller sunblind isopened first.

until thepanorama roofwith power tilt/slid-
ing panel reaches thedesired position.

you must reset it.

pletely closed(Ypage 83).
X Hold theswitch foranadditional second.
If the side window opensagainslightly:
X Immediately pullthecorrespon dingswitch on
the door controlpanel untiltheside window is
completely closed(Ypage 83).
X Hold theswitch foranadditional second.
X Ifthe respect iveside window remains closed
after thebutton isreleased, thenithas been
set correc tly.Ifthis isnot thecase, repeat the

If you close aside window againimmediately afterithas been blocked orreset, theside window
closes withincreased ormaximum force.Thereversin gfeature isthen notactive. Partsofthe

Make surethatnoparts ofthe body areinthe closing area.Tostop theclosing process, release
the switch orpush theswitch againtoreopen theside window. Side

cedures.
If somebody becomestrapped:
R release theswitch immediately, or
R during automatic operation, pushthe
switch brieflyinany direction
The opening orclosing procedure willbestop-

If children operatethesliding sunroof they
could become trapped, particularly ifthey are
left unsupervised. Thereisarisk ofinjury.
When leaving thevehicle, alwaystake the
SmartK eywith youand lock thevehicle. Never
leave children unsupervised inthe vehicle. G
WARNING
At high speeds theraised sliding sunroof auto-
matically lowersslightly atthe rear. Thiscould
trap youorother persons. Thereisarisk of
injury. Makesurethatnobody reaches into
the sweep ofthe sliding sunroof whilstthe
vehicle isin motion.
If somebody becomestrapped,immediately
pull back thesliding sunroof switch.Theslid-
ing sunroof liftsduring opening.
