It illuminates when you switch thesystem on.
It illuminates white when thesystem is in standby mode. It illuminatesgreen when you set the adaptive cruisespeed.

Anti-Lock Brake System Warning Lamp
If it illuminates when you aredriving, this indicates amalfunction. Your vehiclecontinues to have normal braking withoutthe anti-lock brake system function. Haveyour vehicle checked as soon as possible.
Auto Hold Active
Illuminates when the system holdsyour vehicle stationary.
Auto Hold Unavailable
Illuminates when the system is on,but unavailable to hold yourvehicle stationary.
Auto-Start-Stop Indicator
It illuminates when the engine hasautomatically stopped. It flashesto inform you when the engineneeds to restart. The indicator is shown witha strikethrough if the system is not available.

Automatic Headlamp High BeamIndicator (If Equipped)
It illuminates when the systemautomatically turns the headlamphigh beam on.

Battery
It illuminates when you switch theignition on.
If it illuminates when the engine isrunning this indicates a malfunction. Haveyour vehicle checked as soon as possible.
Blind Spot Monitor
It illuminates when you switch thesystem off.

Low Tire Pressure Warning Lamp
It illuminates when your tirepressure is low. If the lamp remainson with the engine running orwhen driving, check your tire pressure assoon as possible.
It also illuminates momentarily when youswitch the ignition on to confirm the lamp isfunctional. If it does not illuminate when youswitch the ignition on, or begins to flash atany time, have the system checked by yourauthorized dealer.
Low Beam Malfunction Warning Lamp
It illuminates when there is amalfunction with the low beamheadlamp bulb.
Low Washer Fluid Level Warning Lamp
It illuminates when the washer fluidis low.
Parking Lamps
Illuminates when you switch theparking lamps on.
Powertrain Fault
Illuminates when a powertrain oran 4WD fault has been detected. Contact an authorized dealer.
Service Engine Soon
If it illuminates when the engine isrunning this indicates amalfunction. The On BoardDiagnostics system has detected amalfunction of the vehicle emission controlsystem.
If it flashes, engine misfire may be occurring.Increased exhaust gas temperatures coulddamage the catalytic converter or othervehicle components. Drive in a moderatefashion (avoid heavy acceleration anddeceleration) and have your vehicleimmediately serviced.
It illuminates when you switch the ignitionon prior to engine start to check the bulb andto indicate whether your vehicle is ready forInspection and Maintenance (I/M) testing.
Normally, it illuminates until the engine iscranked and automatically turns off if nomalfunctions are present. However, if after15 seconds it flashes eight times, thisindicates that your vehicle is not ready forInspection and Maintenance (I/M) testing.

Stability Control and Traction ControlIndicator
Flashes during operation.
If it does not illuminate when youswitch the ignition on, or remainson when the engine is running, this indicatesa malfunction. Have your vehicle checkedas soon as possible.

Information Displays
When one indicator is on, the blower motoradjusts to the lowest speed to reach theselected temperature with the least amountof cabin noise.
Note:The system starts at the previous fansetting when you switch on AUTO.
Note:You can also switch off dual zonemode by pressing and holding the button formore than two seconds.
Switching Defrost On and Off
Press and release the button todistribute air through thewindshield air vents and de-mister.
Air directed to the instrument panel andfootwell air vents turns off. You can also usethis setting to defog and clear the windshieldof a thin covering of ice.
Switching the Air Conditioning On andOff
Press and release the button.
Use air conditioning with recirculated air toimprove cooling performance and efficiency.
Note:In certain conditions (for example,maximum defrost) the air conditioningcompressor may continue to operate eventhough you switch off the air conditioning.
Switching the Heated Seats On and Off
Press and release the button tocycle through the various heatsettings and off.
See Heated Seats (page 177).
Switching Maximum Air ConditioningOn and Off
Press and release the button formaximum cooling.
The left-hand and right-hand settings set toLO, recirculated air flows through theinstrument panel air vents, air conditioningturns on and the blower motor adjusts to thehighest speed.
Switching Recirculated Air On and Off
Press and release the button toswitch between outside air andrecirculated air.
The air currently in the passengercompartment recirculates. This may reducethe time needed to cool the interior (whenused with A/C) and reduce unwanted odorsfrom entering your vehicle.
Note:Recirculated air may turn off (orprevent you from switching on) in all air flowmodes except MAX A/C to reduce the riskof fogging. Recirculation may also turn onand off in various air distribution controlcombinations during hot weather to improvecooling efficiency.
Switching the Ventilated Seats On andOff
Press and release the button tocycle through the variousventilated seat settings and off.

When the indicator light on the power pointis:
•On: The power point is working, theignition is ON or the vehicle is inaccessory mode.
•Off: The power point is OFF, the ignitionis OFF or the vehicle is not in accessorymode.
•Flashing: The power point is in faultmode.
Due to the different technologies used onits construction, some devices may exceedthe capacity shown on its label when theyare initially plugged-in.
The power outlet temporarily turns off powerwhen in fault mode if the device exceeds the150 watt limit. Unplug your device andswitch the ignition off. Switch the ignitionback on, but do not plug your device backin. Let the system cool off and switch theignition off to reset the fault mode. Switchthe ignition back on and make sure theindicator light remains on.
Do not use the power point for certainelectric devices, including:
•Cathode-ray, tube-type televisions.
•Motor loads, such as vacuum cleaners,electric saws and other electric powertools or compressor-driven refrigerators.
•Measuring devices, which processprecise data, such as medical equipmentor measuring equipment.
•Other appliances requiring an extremelystable power supply such asmicrocomputer-controlled electricblankets or touch-sensor lamps.

CHARGING (IF EQUIPPED)
WARNING: Wireless chargingdevices can affect the operation ofimplanted medical devices, includingcardiac pacemakers. If you have anyimplanted medical devices, we recommendthat you consult with your physician.
Note:Devices without built-in Qi wirelesscharging receivers require an additional Qireceiver or sleeve.
The system supports one Qi wirelesscharging compatible device on the chargingarea.
Keep the charging area clean and removeforeign objects prior to charging a device.
Do not place items with a magnetic strip, forexample passports, parking tickets or creditcards, near the charging area when charginga device. Damage may occur to the magneticstrip.

The green Auto-Start-Stopindicator light on the instrumentcluster will illuminates to indicatewhen the automatic engine stop occurs.
If the instrument cluster isequipped with a greyAuto-Start-Stop indicator light, itilluminates when automatic engine stop isnot available due to one of the above notedconditions not being met.
Automatic Engine Restart
Any of the following conditions results in anautomatic restart of the engine:
•You have removed your foot from thebrake pedal.
•You press the accelerator pedal.
•You press the accelerator and the brakepedal at the same time.
•The driver seatbelt becomes unfastenedor the driver door is ajar.
•Your vehicle is moving.
•The interior compartment does not meetcustomer comfort when air conditioningor heat is on.
•Fogging of the windows could occur andthe air conditioning is on.
•The battery is not within optimaloperating conditions.
•You have exceeded the maximum engineoff time.
•When you press the Auto-Start-Stopbutton with the engine automaticallystopped.
•The front defroster is turned to the Maxsetting.
•When you shift into park (P) the enginewill restart.
Any of the following conditions may result inan automatic restart of the engine:
•You have increased the blower fan speedor changed the climate controltemperature.
•You have an electrical accessory turnedon or plugged in.
Note:You may notice that the climate seatfan fluctuates during an automatic restart.

Note:This only functions if your 12-voltbattery has power and the starter can spinthe engine. If vehicle battery voltage is notsufficient, an external 12-volt power sourcesuch as jumper cables, battery charger orjump pack may be required for this featureto function.
Note:Once in this mode, sufficient batteryvoltage must be maintained or your vehiclereturns to park.
WARNING: When doing thisprocedure, you need to take thetransmission out of park (P) which meansyour vehicle can roll freely. To avoidunwanted vehicle movement, always fullyapply the parking brake prior to doing thisprocedure. Use wheels chocks ifappropriate.
1. Do not press the brake pedal. Press theSTART/STOP button.
2. Fully press down on the brake pedal.Keep the brakes applied through step 7.
3. Press the accelerator pedal to the floorand hold through step 7.
4. Press the neutral (N) button on thetransmission selector.
5. Press the neutral (N) button again toenter Stay in Neutral mode.
6. Press and release the push to startbutton, the transmission needs aminimum of 2 seconds to exit park.
7. When neutral (N) is displayed, the brakeand accelerator pedals can be released.
To exit Stay in Neutral mode, select adifferent gear.
A message appears in your informationdisplay screen when your vehicle hasentered Stay in Neutral mode.
Drive (D)
Drive (D) is the normal driving position forthe best fuel economy. The overdrivefunction allows automatic upshifts anddownshifts through gears one through ten.
Adaptive Tow/Haul Mode
WARNING: Do not use tow/haulwhen the road surface is slippery. Failureto follow this instruction could result in theloss of control of your vehicle.
Adaptive tow/haul has two modes, automaticthat is enabled by default and off.
To turn adaptive tow/haul off or on, use theinformation display controls. See GeneralInformation (page 120). The indicator lightilluminates in the instrument cluster.
Key adaptive tow/haul features:
•The system remains in the same mode,even after a key cycle.
•Is only available in normal drive modes(Normal 2H and Normal 4A).
The adaptive tow/haul feature improvestransmission operation when towing a traileror a heavy load. All transmission gear rangesare available when using adaptive tow/haul.
