TRANSPORTING THE VEHICLEIf you need to tow your vehicle, contact aprofessional towing service or, if you are amember of a roadside assistance program,your roadside assistance service provider.
We recommend the use of a wheel lift anddollies or flatbed equipment to tow yourvehicle. Do not tow with a slingbelt. LincolnMotor Company does not approve a slingbelttowing procedure. If you tow your vehicleincorrectly, or by any other means, vehicledamage may occur.
Lincoln Motor Company produces a towingmanual for all authorized tow truck operators.Have your tow truck operator refer to thismanual for proper hook-up and towingprocedures for your vehicle.
It is acceptable to have your front-wheeldrive vehicle towed from the front if usingproper wheel lift equipment to raise the frontwheels off the ground. When towing in thismanner, the rear wheels can remain on theground.

CLEANING THE INTERIOR
WARNING: Do not use cleaningsolvents, bleach or dye on the vehicle’ssafety belts, as these actions may weakenthe belt webbing.
WARNING: On vehicles equipped withseat-mounted airbags, do not use chemicalsolvents or strong detergents. Such productscould contaminate the side airbag systemand affect performance of the side airbag ina collision.
Note:Follow the same procedure forcleaning leather seats when cleaning leatherinterior. See Cleaning Leather Seats (page325).
Note:Do not use household cleaningproducts or glass cleaners, which can stainand discolor the fabric and affect the flameretardant abilities of the seat materials.
For fabric, carpets, cloth seats, safety beltsand seats equipped with side airbags:
•Remove dust and loose dirt with avacuum cleaner.
•Remove light stains and soil withMotorcraft Professional Strength Carpet& Upholstery Cleaner.
For grease or tar stains:
•Spot clean the area with Motorcraft Spotand Stain Remover (MotorcraftMulti-Purpose Cleaner in Canada).
•If a ring forms on the fabric after spotcleaning, clean the entire areaimmediately (but do not oversaturate) orthe ring will set.
Cleaning Alcantara Microfiber ClothFabric (If Equipped)
Note:Alcantara microfiber cloth fabric ismade of polyester microfiber withmicro-porous polyurethane. Usingcommercially available fabric cleaners cancause permanent damage.
Note:Do not use commercially availableleather and vinyl cleaning products onAlcantara microfiber cloth fabric.
Note:Some vehicles may have Alcantaramicrofiber cloth fabric on the seats,headliner, floor mats and door panels.

Dial emergency servicesimmediately to avoid delayed response timewhich could increase the risk of serious injuryor death after a crash. If you do not hear 911Assist within five seconds of the crash, thesystem or phone may be damaged ornon-functional.
WARNING: Always place your phonein a secure location in your vehicle so it doesnot become a projectile or get damaged ina crash. Failure to do so may cause seriousinjury to someone or damage the phonewhich could prevent 911 Assist from workingproperly.
