Power Distribution Box
WARNING: Always disconnect the
battery before servicing high current fuses.
WARNING: To reduce risk of electricalshock, always replace the cover to the powerdistribution box before reconnecting thebattery or refilling fluid reservoirs.
The power distribution box is in the enginecompartment. It has high-current fuses thatprotect your vehicle's main electrical systemsfrom overloads.
If you disconnect and reconnect the battery,you need to reset some features. SeeChanging the 12V Battery (page 314).

Power Distribution Box - Bottom
There are fuses on the bottom of the fusebox. To access the bottom of the fuse box,do the following:

1.Release the two latches, located on bothsides of the fuse box.
2. Raise the inboard side of the fuse boxfrom the cradle.
3. Move the fuse box toward the center ofthe engine compartment.
4. Pivot the outboard side of the fuse boxto access the bottom side.
