Radio mode Introduction
The radio system is supplied in different ver-
sions depending on the country and the fea- tures of the vehicle. Some systems also have
a DAB radio receiver

Audio ModeRDS is not available in all places or all radiostations.
Depending on the country and unit, the RDS and the alternative frequency (AF) switch can
be disabled under system settings

nouncements.

Audio ModeThe DAB radio tuner admits transmission
standards DAB, DAB+ and DMB audio.
In Europe, digital radio broadcasts on the band III frequencies (174 MHz to 240 MHz)
and band L (1,452 MHz to 1,492 MHz).
The frequencies of the two bands are refer-
red to as “ channels” and have a channel
name (e.g. 12
A
).
Several available DAB stations with additional
services are combined into one channel in an
“ ensemble ”.
DAB is currently not available in all areas . In
areas without DAB,  is displayed in DAB ra-
dio mode. In this case, it is possible to change to an FM station from system and function
settings
