When closing the moonroof, verify thatit is free of obstruction and make surethat children and pets are not in the proximityof the roof opening.
Note:With the panoramic moonroof panelfully open and vehicle speed increasing toapproximately 50 mph (80 km/h), themoonroof opening panel automaticallycloses approximately 8 in (20 cm) to reduceexcessive wind noise at higher speeds. Thisfeature only functions one time per key cycle,so that you can open the glass further ifdesired.
The moonroof controls are located on theoverhead console and have a one-touchopen and close feature. To stop itsmovement during one-touch operation, pressthe control a second time.

Sunshade Close
Press and release to close the sunshade. Iffully open, the sunshade stops after coveringthe rear glass panel. Press and release againto fully close the sunshade.

Press and release to close the moonrooffrom either the open or vent positions.

Information Displays
Power: Press to switch the system on and off. When the system is off, it prevents outside air from entering the vehicle.A
Driver temperature control: Adjusts the temperature setting on the driver side. This control also adjusts the passenger sidetemperature when you switch off dual zone mode.B
MAX Defrost: Press to switch on defrost. The driver and passenger settings set to HI, air flows through the windshield vents, andthe fan adjusts to the highest speed. You can also use this setting to defog and clear the windshield of a thin covering of ice. Theheated rear window also turns on when you select maximum defrost.

Recirculated air: Press to switch between outside air and recirculated air. The air currently in the passenger compartment recirculates.This may reduce the time needed to cool the interior (when used with A/C) and reduce unwanted odors from entering your vehicle.G
Note: Recirculated air may turn off (or prevent you from switching on) in all air flow modes except MAX A/C to reduce the risk offogging. Recirculation may also turn on and off in Panel or Panel/Floor air flow modes during hot weather in order to improve coolingefficiency.
A/C: Press to switch the air conditioning on or off. Use A/C with recirculated air to improve cooling performance and efficiency.H
Note: In certain conditions (for example, maximum defrost), the air conditioning compressor may continue to operate even thoughyou switch off the air conditioning.
AUTO: Press to switch on automatic operation. Adjust to select the desired temperature. Fan speed, air distribution, air conditioningoperation, and outside or recirculated air adjust to heat or cool the vehicle to maintain the desired temperature. You can also switchoff dual zone mode by pressing and holding for more than two seconds.

Automatic Fan Settings
The AUTO button illuminates for thefollowing fan settings:
•When three indicators are on, the fanadjusts to the highest speed to reach theselected temperature as quickly aspossible.
•When two indicators are on, the fanadjusts to a medium speed to reach theselected temperature with a reducedamount of cabin noise.
•When one indicator is on, the fan adjuststo the lowest speed to reach the selectedtemperature with the least amount ofcabin noise.
Note:The system starts at the previous fansetting when you switch on AUTO.
HINTS ON CONTROLLING THE

General Hints
Note:Prolonged use of recirculated air maycause the windows to fog up.
Note:You may feel a small amount of airfrom the footwell air vents regardless of theair distribution setting.
Note:To reduce humidity build-up insideyour vehicle, do not drive with the systemswitched off or with recirculated air alwaysswitched on.
Note:Do not place objects under the frontseats as this may interfere with the airflowto the rear seats.
Note:Remove any snow, ice or leaves fromthe air intake area at the base of thewindshield.
Note:To improve the time to reach acomfortable temperature in hot weather,drive with the windows open until you feelcold air through the air vents.

HEATED WINDOWS AND MIRRORS
Note:Make sure the engine is runningbefore operating the heated windows.
Note:Depending on your remote startsettings, the heated windows, mirrors andwipers may remain on after remote startingthe vehicle.
Heated Rear Window
Press the button to clear theheated rear window of thin ice andfog. The heated rear window turnsoff after a short period of time. Press thebutton again to switch it off.
Note: Do not use razor blades or othersharp objects to clean or remove decals fromthe inside of the heated rear window. Thevehicle warranty does not cover damagecaused to the heated rear window grid lines.
Heated Exterior Mirrors (If Equipped)
When you switch the heated rear windowon, the heated exterior mirrors turn on.

Windshield Wiper De-icer (If Equipped)
When you switch the heated rear windowon, the windshield wiper de-icer turns on.
CABIN AIR FILTER
Your vehicle is equipped with a cabin airfilter, which gives you and your passengersthe following benefits:
•It improves your driving comfort byreducing particle and odor concentration.
•It improves the interior compartmentcleanliness.
•It protects the climate controlcomponents from particle deposits.
You can locate the cabin air filter behind theglove box.
Note:Make sure you have a cabin air filterinstalled at all times. This prevents foreignobjects from entering the system. Runningthe system without a filter in place couldresult in degradation or damage to thesystem.
Replace the filter at regular intervals.
For additional cabin air filter information, orto replace the filter, see a qualifiedtechnician.
REMOTE START
The system adjusts the interior temperaturedepending on your chosen settings duringremote start.
You cannot adjust the climate control settingduring remote start operation. When youswitch the ignition on, the climate controlsystem returns to the previous settings. Youcan now make adjustments.
Some features may remain on if they turn onduring remote start:
•Driver heated seat.
•Driver ventilated seat.
•Heated steering wheel.
•Heated mirrors.
•Heated rear window.
•Windshield wiper de-icer.
Note:If the passenger heated or ventilatedseats are on when you switch the vehicleoff, they default to the driver setting whenyou switch the vehicle on.
You can adjust the default remote startsettings using the information displaycontrols. See Information Displays (page111).
Automatic Settings
In hot weather, the system sets to 72°F(22°C). The ventilated seats set to high (ifavailable, and if you select AUTO in theinformation display).
In moderate weather, the system heats orcools (based on pre-selected settings). Therear defroster, heated mirrors and heated orventilated seats do not turn on.

•You can reset the timer by interactingwith your vehicle (such as pressing thebrake pedal or accelerator pedal).
•You can temporarily switch off theshutdown feature any time the ignition ison (for the current ignition cycle only).Use the information display to do so. SeeInformation Displays (page 111).
•During the countdown before engineshutdown, you are prompted to press OKor RESET (depending on your type ofinformation display) to temporarily switchthe feature off (for the current ignitioncycle only).
Stopping the Engine When YourVehicle is Stationary
1. Put the transmission in position P.
2. Press the button once.
3. Apply the parking brake.
Note:This switches off the ignition, allelectrical circuits, warning lamps andindicators.
Note:If the engine is idling for 30 minutes,the ignition and engine automatically shutdown.
Stopping the Engine When YourVehicle is Moving
WARNING
Switching off the engine when thevehicle is still moving will result in aloss of brake and steering assistance. Thesteering will not lock, but higher effort willbe required. When the ignition is switchedoff, some electrical circuits, including airbags, warning lamps and indicators may alsobe off. If the ignition was turned offaccidentally, you can shift into neutral (N) andre-start the engine.
1. Put the transmission in position N anduse the brakes to bring your vehicle to asafe stop.
2. When your vehicle has stopped, put thetransmission in position P.
3. Press and hold the button for onesecond, or press it three times within twoseconds.
4. Apply the parking brake.
Guarding Against Exhaust Fumes
WARNING
Exhaust leaks may result in entry ofharmful and potentially lethal fumesinto the passenger compartment. If you smellexhaust fumes inside your vehicle, have yourvehicle inspected immediately. Do not driveif you smell exhaust fumes.
Important Ventilating Information
If you stop your vehicle and then leave theengine idling for long periods, werecommend that you do one of the following:
•Open the windows at least 1 in (2.5 cm).
•Set your climate control to outside air.
