“Fix&Go” KIT

DESCRIPTION
The Fix&Go quick tyre repair kit fig. 105
is located in the luggage compartment,
inside a dedicated container, and
consists of:
❒ one cartridge 1 containing sealant
and fitted with: transparent tube for
injecting the sealant 4 and sticker 3
with the wording “Max 80 km/h” to
be placed in a clearly visible position
(e.g. on the dashboard) after
repairing the tyre;
❒ one compressor 2;
❒ one leaflet containing instructions
for using the kit;
❒ a pair of gloves located in the hose
compartment of the cartridge 4.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
Proceed as follows:
❒ stop the car in a position that is not
dangerous for oncoming traffic
where you can carry out the
procedure safely. The ground must
be flat and sufficiently compact;
❒ stop the engine, engage the hazard
warning lights and the parking
brake;
❒ wear the reflective safety jacket
before getting out of the car (in any
case, comply with the laws in force
in the country you are driving in);

❒ insert the cartridge 1 containing the
sealant into the dedicated
compartment on the compressor 2
and press it down hard fig. 105.
Remove the adhesive speed label 3
and apply it in a clearly visible
position fig. 106;
❒ wear the gloves;
❒ remove the valve cap from the
punctured tyre and screw the
transparent sealant hose 4 fig. 105
onto the valve. If a 250 ml cartridge
is present the housing of the
transparent tube is provided with
removable ring to facilitate
extraction. Make sure that the
ON-OFF button 5 fig. 107 is in the
off position (button not pressed);

❒ insert the electrical connector
6 fig. 108 into the 12V socket on
the vehicle and start the engine;
❒ turn on the compressor by pressing
the ON-OFF button 5 fig. 107.
When the pressure shown in the
"Wheels" paragraph in the
“Technical data” chapter or on the
specific label appears on the
pressure gauge 7, stop the
compressor by pressing the
ON-OFF button 5 again;

❒ disconnect the cartridge 1 from the
compressor by pressing the
release button 8 and lifting the
cartridge 1 up fig. 109.

If the pressure gauge 7 fig. 107 shows
a pressure less than 1.8 bar / 26 psi
15 minutes after turning on the
compressor, switch off the
compressor, disconnect the sealant
hose 4 from the tyre valve and remove
the cartridge 1 from the compressor
fig. 105.
Move the vehicle about 10m to
distribute the sealant; stop the vehicle
safely, engage the handbrake and
restore the pressure using the black
inflation hose 9 fig. 110 until the
required pressure is reached. If also in
this case, the pressure is lower than
1.8 bar / 26 psi 15 minutes after
turning on, do not resume driving but
contact a Fiat Dealership.

After driving for about 8 km / 5 miles,
position the car in a safe and suitable
area and engage the handbrake.
Take the compressor and restore the
pressure using the black inflation hose
9 fig. 110.
If the pressure shown is higher than
1.8 bar / 26 psi, restore the pressure
and drive safely to a Fiat Dealership as
soon as possible.
If, however, the pressure is lower than
1.8 bar / 26 psi, do not resume driving
but contact a Fiat Dealership.INFLATION PROCEDURE
Proceed as follows:
❒ stop the vehicle safely, as shown
above, and operate the handbrake;
❒ take out the black inflation hose 9
fig. 103 and screw it firmly onto the
tyre valve. Follow the instructions
given in fig. 108 and fig. 110.
Press the air release button
10 fig. 107 to adjust any tyre
overpressure.
CARTRIDGE
REPLACEMENT
Proceed as follows:
❒ only use original Fix&Go cartridges,
which can be purchased from the
Fiat Dealership.
❒ press the release button 8 fig. 109
and lift it to remove the cartridge 1.

IMPORTANT The intervention must be
carried out taking all precautions
necessary to avoid damaging the
bodywork (use a sufficiently rigid and
appropriately thick plastic card).
To replace the bulb, proceed as
follows:
❒ lever the lens off, by initially applying
force from the front towards the
back (1-fig. 119);
❒ lever in the opposite direction, by
applying force from the back
part (2-fig. 119) and remove the
unit;

❒ turn the bulb holder anticlockwise,
extract the press-fitted bulb and
replace it;
❒ reinstall the bulb holder into the
lens, then put back the assembly
making sure that the fixing clip has
clicked.
FRONT FOG LIGHTS
(for versions/markets, where provided)
For bulb replacement, contact a Fiat
Dealership.
REAR LIGHT CLUSTERS
To replace the bulb proceed as follows:
❒ open the tailgate;
❒ unscrew the two fastening screws
A fig. 120 and extract the light
cluster axially without rotating it;
❒ remove the bulb holder from its
housing releasing it from the locking
tabs B;
❒ extract the bulbs by pushing them
slightly and turning them counter-
clockwise.The bulbs are arranged as follows in
fig. 121:
C: tail / brake light;
D: direction indicators.

REVERSING LIGHT/REAR
FOG LIGHT
To replace the bulb, proceed as
follows:
❒ From inside the bumper, operate
the tabs A fig. 122 and remove the
press-fit flap;
❒ disconnect the electric connector
A-fig. 123;
❒ turn the bulb holder B fig. 123
anticlockwise and remove the unit;
❒ extract the bulb and replace it;
❒ refit the bulb/bulb holder unit B by
turning it clockwise

❒ reconnect the electric connector A;
❒ refit the flap and check that it is
correctly locked.
THIRD BRAKE LIGHTS
To replace the bulb proceed as follows:
❒ remove the two guard caps and
unscrew the two fastening
screws A fig. 124;
❒ remove the assembly;
❒ disconnect the electric connector
B fig. 125;
❒ press the retaining device C and
open the bulb holder;

replaced and replace it;
❒ close the bulb holder making sure
the retaining device is correctly
locked;
❒ screw in the two fastening screws
and reinstall the guard caps.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT
JUNCTION BOX
The fuse box is located on the right
side of the engine compartment.
To access the fuses, proceed as
follows:
❒ Fully press the screw A fig. 130;
❒ at the same time slowly rotate the
screw anticlockwise, until resistance
is encountered (do not overtighten);
❒ slowly release the screw;
❒ opening is indicated by the entire
screw head coming out of its
housing;
❒ remove cover B, sliding it upwards
on the side guides, as indicated in
the figure.
❒ after replacing the fuse, refit the
cover, making sure that it is closed
properly.

glove compartment, instrument panel warning lights, etc.)
Check and, if necessary, top up fluid levels (1)
Check exhaust emissions/smokiness
Use the diagnosis socket to check supply/engine management
systems, emissions and engine oil decay
(for versions/markets, where provided)
Visually inspect the conditions of: bodywork, underbody protection,
pipes and tubes (exhaust - fuel - brakes), rubber parts
(boots, sleeves, bushes, etc.)
Check windscreen/rear window wiper blade
position/wear (for markets/versions, where provided)
Check operation of windscreen washer system and adjust jets
if necessary
Check cleanliness of bonnet and luggage compartment locks,
cleanliness and lubrication of linkage
