Storing tire pressures
Applies to: vehicles with Tire Pressure Monitoring System in­
dicator
If the tire pressure changes or a tire is replaced,
it must be confirmed in the Infotainment sys ­
tem.

of a ll fou r tires meet the specified values and
are adapted to the load

A run-flat tire helps to maintain vehicle mobility
when there is a loss of pressure .

If the t ire pressure monitoring system indicates a
l oss of pressure in one or severa l tires, yo u can
contin ue driving on run -flat tires fo r at least 20
miles (30 km). Drive to an authorized Audi dealer
or authorized Aud i Serv ice Facility immediately to
have the problem corrected .
Continuing to drive on run-flat tires is n o
longer possible if
- there is visible damage to the tires, such as
cracks in the sidewalls .
- strong vibrat ions are felt w hile driving, or the
tire beg ins to smoke due to a strong build-up of
heat .
- the t ire was heavi ly damaged, for example in an
accident There is a r isk that parts of the tire
tread will detach and damage important ve hi­
cle components .
- the E lectron ic Stab ilizat ion Control (ESC) is not

for run-flat tires and a facto ry-installed tire

h) because this increases the risk of an ac­
cident. Observe any laws specific to the
country where yo u are driv ing.
- Avoid full-th rottle accele ration, heavy
braking, and fast cornering, because this

- The vehicle may become more difficult to
control.
- See an autho rized Aud i deale r or a uthor­
ized Audi Service Fac ility for assistance if
the t ire is too heavily damaged.
- Have the faulty tires replaced and the rims

- To reduce the risk of cuts, protect yourself
from sharp metal components when was h­
ing the underbody or the inside of the wheel
housings .
- After washing the vehicle, the braking effect may be delayed due to mo isture on the
brake rotors or ice in the winter . This in­
creases the risk of an acc ident . The brakes
must be d ried first w it h a few careful b rake
applications.
@ Note
- If you wash the ve hicle in an automatic car
wash, you must fold the exterior m irrors in
to reduce the risk of damage to the mirrors .

be fo lded in and out using the powe r folding

- To reduce t he risk of damage to the rims
and t ires , compare the width be tween the

- Matte finish painted vehicle components:

- Never use protective wax. It can destroy
the matte finish effect .
- Do not place any stickers or magnet ic
signs on vehicle parts painted with matte
finish paint . The paint cou ld be damaged
when the stickers or magnets are re­
moved .

Only wash the ve hicle in facilities spec ia lly de­
s igned for that pu rpose . This will reduce the
r isk of dirty wate r contaminated with o il from

Emergency assistance
See an authorized Audi dealer or authorized Audi
Service Facility for assistance in these situations.
A WARNING
-Please note that the tire mob ility kit cannot
be used in all situations, and that it may on­
ly be used temporarily.
- The tire sealant must not come in contact with skin, eyes, or clothes.
- If tire sealant gets in your eyes or on your
skin, thoroughly rinse the affected area im­
mediately with clean water.
- Do not inhale the fumes .
- If you swallow any of the tire sealant, thor-
oughly rinse your mouth immediately and
drink a lot of water. Do not induce vomiting .
Seek medical attention immediately.
- Change your clothes immediately if they get
tire sealant on them.
- If an allergic reaction occurs, seek immedi­
ate medical attention .
- Keep the tire sealant away from children .
(D Tips
-If sealant leaks, allow it to dry in place. You
can then peel it
off like a sticker.
- Note the expiration date on the sealant bot­
tle . Replace the tire sealant at an author­
iz ed Audi dealer or authorized Audi Service
Facility.
- Radio reception can be interrupted when
operating the compressor.
- Obey all laws.

the tire is too severely damaged. Do not
continue driving .

Do not operate the compressor for more than
six m inutes continuously, or it can overheat.
Once the compressor has cooled, you ca n con­
tinue to use it .

- Do not drive faster than SO mph (80 km/h).
- Avoid hard acceleration, brak ing sharply,
and fast cornering.
- The vehicle may become more difficu lt to

- If the tire is too severely damaged, see an
authorized Audi dealer or authorized Audi
Service Facility for assistance.
@ For the sake of the environment
You can give the used tire sealant bottle to an
authorized Audi dealer or authorized Audi
Service Facility for disposal.

back of t he wheel t hat is diagonal from the
whee l with the flat t ire.
A WARNING
You o r yo ur passenge rs could be injured while
changing a whee l if you do no t follow these
safety precautions :
- I f yo u have a flat tire, move a safe dis tance
off the road. Turn off the eng ine, turn the
emergency flashers on and use other warn ­
ing devices to a lert other motorists.
- Make sure that passengers wait in a safe place away from the vehicle and well away
from the road and traff ic.
- To he lp prevent the vehicle from moving
suddenly and possib ly slipping off the jack*,
a lways f ully set the park ing brake and block
the front and back of the wheel diagonally
opposite the wheel being changed. When
one front wheel is lifted off the ground,
