The power top storage compartment must be
lowe red to open the power top . To avoi d damage,
make su re that are no sensi tive ob jects in t he
s to rage compa rtment's range of mot ion.
Raising the power top storage compartment
• Press the trim on the hand le in the direction of
the arrow to raise the power top sto rage com
partment

The power top storage compartment can be
raised when the
power top is closed . This pro
v ides mo re ca rgo space in the l uggage compa rt
ment.
The
open power top is stored and p rotected in
the powe r top storage compart ment. The power
top storage compartment cannot be raised w hen

area in the luggage compartment is sma ller
whe n the powe r top is open tha n w hen it is
closed.

driving with limited functionality. See owner's
manual
This message appears if there is a malfunction in
the system. Try to open/close the power top
again.
If the message still appears, then have an
aut ho rize d Aud i dea le r o r au thori zed Aud i Serv ice
Fa cility co rrect the malfunc tion. Do no t driv e
more th an 30 mph (S O km/h) until it is cor rec t
ed .
Power top: please close trunk lid
This message appears in the instrume nt cl uster
display if the luggage compartment is not closed
whe n the power top is ope rated. Close the lug
gage compartment lid.
Power top : please lower power top compart
ment

compartment is not lowered when opening the

If the power top is opera ted continua lly for a
l ong pe riod of time, the over load protec tion acti
vates for approx ima tely 15 to 30 min utes. Yo u
can ope n or close the powe r to p ag ain a fter th at.
Power top : operation currently not possible. En
gine must be running
The powe r top is a utomat ically deactivated if the
battery vo ltage is low. You can open or close the
power top again after starting the eng ine.

(D Tips
Fuel can age and may lead to problems when
starting . Audi recommends replacing the fuel
in your vehicle within six months.
Fuel filler door emergency release
If the central locking system is fault y, the fuel
filler door con be unlocked manually.

The emergency opening mechanism is located
behind the right side trim pane l in the luggage
compar tment .
~ Remove the cover in the side panel.
~ Loosen the loop from the reta iner and then pull
on the loop carefully -arrow -

The filler door is released.
~ Press on the left side of the fuel fi ller door to
open it

Checking and Filling
Emergency relea se behind the rear seat
back rest

The emergency releas e is located behind the
right rear seat.
T he pull cab le for the emergency re lease is locat
ed on the cover .
~ To access the eme rgency re lease, fold the right
backrest forward
i=> page 66.
~ Remove the cover ~ from the tr im panel.
~ Carefully p ull the cover towa rd the center of
the vehicle at a 45° ang le

i=>(D . The tab on the cover must point forward
in the direction you are pulling when pulling on
the cover .
~ Press on the left side of the fue l filler door to
open it

Only pull on the loop/cover until you fee l re

Catalytic converter
The vehicle may only be driven w ith un leaded
gasol ine, otherwise the cata lyti c converte r wi ll be
dest royed.
Never dr ive until the tank is completely empty .
The ir regu lar supply of fuel that resu lts from that
can cause eng ine misfires. Uncombusted fuel will
en ter the exhaust system , which c an cause over
hea ting and damage to the cata lyti c conver ter .
A WARNING
The temperat ure o f the exhaust system is
high , both when driv ing and after stopping
the eng ine.

-Never touch the exhaust tail pipes once they
have become hot . This cou ld resu lt in burns.
- Do not par k your veh icle over flammable
materials such as grass or leaves because
the high temperature of the emissions con
trol system could start a fire.
