miles (200 km).
Along the route: points of inte rest a long the
route can on ly be select ed during active rout e
gu idance. The points of interest are located d i­
rect ly along or in the immediate vicinity of the
calcul ated route. The points of interest can like­
wise be selected from various categor ies . For ex ­
ample, you can search for a hotel or park ing lot
at the destination .
Near destin ation /Near stopo ver : po ints of inter­
est near a destination or a stopover can only be
selected dur ing active route guidance . T he poi nts
of interest can likewise be se lected from va rious
ca tegor ies. For examp le, you ca n search fo r a ho ­
tel or parking lot a t the destination.
In new city : select a country/state or searc h in a
new c ity . Ente r the name of the des ired c ity .
P oints of i nte rest can be selected from var ious
ca tegor ies. Th is f unction allows you to searc h for
points of interes t in any ci ty regardless of the ac ­
tive route guidance or the vehicle position.

Na vigation
As soon as you switch off personal route assis­
tance, the symbol in the status line turns off and
your trips are no longer recorded. Trips that were
already stored remain stored.

traff ic situat ion for the route that is most
likely to be drive n out of the three routes
w ill always be monitored .
- Please note that personal routes that have
already been stored will rema in stored after
the ignition is sw itched off and they must

Online map update
Applies to: vehicles with a navigation system and Audi con­
nect (Infotainment)
Using the online map update, you can update
the map material in your navigation system di­
rectly from your vehicle.

You must have a myAudi account and have as­
signed your vehicle to it.
Using your vehicle position, the MMI identifies
regions which you are frequently in. Based on
this, the MMI suggests update packages for
these regions, if they are avai lable .
• Select @Start download c> fig. 192 if the mes­
sage for a new map update appears in the Info­
tainment system display.

Installation of online map updates
The downloaded map material installs after you
stop your vehicle. The new update packages in­
stall on ly after you switch
off the ign ition. After
restarting the MMI, the Infotainment system dis­
play indicates if the updates installed successful­
ly.
-Confirm the successful update with OK.
The new map material can now be used for navi­
gation.

dates in the vehicle is limited. To update
more regions, use the map update via SD

Catalytic converter
The vehicle may only be driven w ith un leaded

Never dr ive until the tank is completely empty .
The ir regu lar supply of fuel that resu lts from that
can cause eng ine misfires. Uncombusted fuel will
en ter the exhaust system , which c an cause over­
hea ting and damage to the cata lyti c conver ter .
A WARNING
The temperat ure o f the exhaust system is
high , both when driv ing and after stopping
the eng ine.
-
-Never touch the exhaust tail pipes once they
have become hot . This cou ld resu lt in burns.
- Do not par k your veh icle over flammable
materials such as grass or leaves because
the high temperature of the emissions con­
trol system could start a fire.

A WARNING
-Never open the hood when there is steam or
coolant escaping from the engine compart­
ment, because there is a risk that yo u could
be burned. Wait unt il no steam or coolant is
escaping.
- For safety reasons, the hood m ust always be
closed securely while driv ing. Because of
this, always c hec k t he hood after closing i t
to make sure it is latched correctly. The
hood is latched if the front corners cannot
be lifted.
- If you no tice that the hood is not latched
while you are driving, stop immediate ly and
close it, because driving when the hood is not latched increases the risk of an accident .
-If the hood is not latched comp letely, it
could f ly up wh ile you are driving and ob­
struct your vision.

Coolant additive
The coolant additive is made of anti-freezing and
corrosion protection agents. Only use the follow ­
ing coolant additives . These additives may be
mixed with each other .

mixed with water depends on the climate where
the vehicle will be operated .

Facil ity check if the coolant additive in yo ur
vehicle matches the percentage appropriate
for the climate . Th is is especially important
when driving in co lder climates .
- If the appropriate coolant additive is not available in an emergency, do not add any
other additive. You co uld damage the en­
gine. If this happens, only use water and re­
store the correct mixture ratio with the
spec ified coolant additive as soon as possi­
ble .
- Only refill with new coo lant .
- Radiator sealant must not be mixed with
the coolant.
@ Tips
