for achieving the
greatest fuel economy are listed below.  Whenever accelerating from a stop, always accelerate
slowly and smoothly.

The reason why one can hear FM but not AM in parking garages, under
bridges etc., is that
FM signals, unlike AM
signals, are reflected
by solid objects such
as buildings, etc.
Because FM signals ar
e easily reflected by
buildings, this can also cause reception dis-turbances. The direct signal from
the broadcast station
reaches the antenna slightly before the reflected signal. This time difference may cause some reception disturbance or flutter.This problem occurs primarily in urban areas.

station and is in the
vicinity of another st
rong station, both sta-
tions might be receiv
ed simultaneously.
Stereo reception requires a high quality broadcast signal. This means that types ofdisturbances mentioned previously become more marked and the reception range is somewhat diminished during stereo recep-tion. FM reception is affected by the electrical sys- tems of vehicles in the vicinity, especially
those without an elec
tronic noise suppression

slow down and drive

 In unusual situations involving major engine problems, a burning odor may indicate severe a
nd abnormal catalytic
converter overheating.
If this occurs, stop
in a safe place, shut
the engine off and let
the vehicle cool. Once the engine is cool, immediately take your

lease lever (located
under the instrument panel near the driver’s door) to unlock the engine hood.
Pull the lever toward you to release the engine hood latch. Release the lever and
lift the engine hood.
Support the engine hood with the hood prop. Insert the hood prop securely in the opening under the hood marked with an arrow.

can be used. However, Mitsubishi Motors Genuine 0W-20Synthetic Engine Oil s

next oil change to maintain optimum fuel economy and cold weather starting. The oil filter should be replaced at the time or mileage specified in the “WARRANTY ANDMAINTENANCE MANUAL”. Only use high quality
replacement filters on
this vehicle. The manufacturer’s specifica-tions for Genuine Mitsubishi oil filters
require that the filter can withstand a pressure of 256 psi (1.8 MPa). A Genuine Mitsubishioil filter is the best replacement filter. Follow the installation instructions printed on the filter.
