The call waiting function depends on your
mobile phone network provider and your mobile

Call waiting: if you receive a call while already
in a call, a message is shown. You also hear a
tone. You can decide whether to accept or reject
the call.

The incoming call is active. Depending on the
mobile phone used, the call which was previ-
ously active is put on hold or ended (see the

call using the Voice Control System (see the
separate operating instructions).
iDepending on the mobile phone, you may
also be able to accept the incoming call (call

Rejecting

XPress and hold the óbutton on the multi-
function steering wheel for more than one

sage and the Connect Last Used Player
menu item cannot be selected.
When the search is finished, the Bluetooth®
audio device can be reconnected.

Selecting a track
The function is not supported by all Bluetooth®
audio devices.
Some mobile phones impair function with
regard to the following criteria:
Rthe number of tracks that can be selected
Rthe time period until the next or previous track
is played
XUse the multifunction steering wheel to
switch to the media menu in the on-board
computer (see the vehicle Operator's Man-
ual).
XTo skip forwards or backwards to a track:
press the 9or: button on the multi-
function steering wheel.
XRapid scroll: press and hold the 9
or : button on the multifunction steering
wheel until the desired track is reached.
If you press and hold the 9or: but-
tons, the rapid scrolling speed increases after a short time.

iIn rapid scroll, track names are not shown,
but instead only Track 1, Track 2 etc. The
playback times for the tracks played are not
displayed. This is available as an optional
function starting with AVRCP Version 1.3.
There is also no music search option available
with Bluetooth
®Audio.
Selecting playback options
If the Bluetooth®audio device supports the cor-
responding function, the following options are
available:
RNormal Track Sequence: the tracks are
played in the normal order (e.g. track 1, 2, 3
etc.).
Audio data playback is determined by the
order in which the tracks are written to the

The content of an audio DVD can be divided into
up to 9 groups. The availability and type of group
depends on the respective DVD. A group can
contain music of different sound qualities

DVD playback conditions
Playback problems may occur when playing
copied discs. There is a large variety of discs,
DVD authoring software, writing software and
writers available. This variety means that there
is no guarantee that the Rear Seat Entertain-
ment System will be able to play video DVDs that
you have copied yourself.

regarding COMAND also applies to the Rear
Seat Entertainment System.
Function restrictions
Depending on the DVD, it is possible that certain
functions or actions described in this section
will be temporarily blocked or may not function
at all. As soon as you try to activate these func-
tions or actions, you will see the Ksymbol in
the display.
Switching on video DVD mode
XInsert a video DVD (Ypage 194).
The Rear Seat Entertainment System loads
the disc.
If disc mode was the last mode selected, it will
now be active.
If it was not, switch on video DVD mode as
described in the following instructions.
XSelect Discin the menu using the
9=; buttons on the remote con-
trol and confirm by pressing the 9button.
If the video DVD fulfills the playback criteria,
the film either starts automatically or the
menu stored on the DVD appears. If the DVD
menu appears, you must start the film man-
ually.
