Folding outside mirror
WA R N I N G
Always return the outside mirrors to the
driving position before you start driving:
Driving with the outside mirrors folded in is
dangerous. Your rear view will be
restricted, and you could have an accident.
Manual folding outside mirror
Fold the outside mirror rearward until it is
flush with the vehicle.
Power folding outside mirror
WA R N I N G
Do not touch a power folding outside
mirror while it is moving:
Touching the power folding outside mirror
when it is moving is dangerous. Your hand
could be pinched and injured or the mirror
could be damaged.
Use the switch to set the mirror to the
on-road position:
Setting the power folding outside mirror to
the on-road position by hand is dangerous.
The mirror will not lock in position and will
prevent effective rearview visibility.
Only operate the power folding outside
mirror with the vehicle safely parked:
Operating the power folding outside mirror
while the vehicle is moving is dangerous.
Wind blast on the mirror will cause them to
collapse and you will be unable to return it
to the on-road position, preventing
rearview visibility.
The ignition must be switched to ACC or
ON position.
Ty p e A
To fold, rotate the outside mirror switch.
To return the mirror to the driving
position, rotate the switch to the centre

▼Rearview Mirror
WA R N I N G
Do not stack cargo or objects higher than

Forward Sensing Camera (FSC)
The Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) detects lane indications and r
ecognises headlights, tail
lights and city lights during nighttime driving. In addition, i t also detects the vehicle ahead,
pedestrians, or obstructions. The following systems also use th e Forward Sensing Camera
(FSC).
•High Beam Control System (HBC)
•Adaptive LED Headlights (ALH)
•Driver Attention Alert (DAA)
•Lane-keep Assist System (LAS) & Lane Departure Warning System ( LDWS)
•Traffic Sign Recognition System (TSR)
•Advanced Smart City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS)
•Smart City Brake Support [Forward] (SCBS F)
•Smart Brake Support (SBS)
•Mazda Radar Cruise Control with S top & Go function (MRCC with Stop & Go function)
The Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) is installed at the top of the windscreen near the

•If the road width is extremely narrow, vehicles two lanes over may be detected. The
detection area of the radar sensors (rear) is set according to the road width of
expressways.
•The BSM warning indicator light may turn on and the vehicle detection screen may be
displayed in the display in reaction to stationary objects (guardrails, tunnels, sidewalls,
and parked vehicles) on the road or the roadside.
Objects such as guardrails and concrete walls

installed to the rear of the vehicle. Otherwise, the radar’s radio waves will be blocked
causing the system to not operate normally.
•In the following cases, it may be difficult to view the illumination/flashing of the BSM
warning indicator lights equipped on the door mirrors.
•Snow or ice is adhering to the door mirrors.
•The front door glass is fogged or covered in snow, frost or dirt.
•The system switches to the Rear Cross Traffi c Alert function when the shift lever (manual

Always check the surrounding area visually before actually putting the vehicle in reverse:
The system is only designed to assist you in ch ecking for vehicles at the rear when putting the
vehicle in reverse. Due to certain limitations wi th the operation of this system, the Blind Spot
