■When the vehicle is not driven for extended periods
●To prevent theft of the vehicle, do not leave the electronic key within 2 m (6 ft.) of the vehicle.
●The smart entry & start system can be deactivated in advance. ( P. 685)
■To operate the system properly
●Make sure to carry the electronic key when operating the system. Do not get the elec-
tronic key too close to the vehicle when operating the system from the outside of the vehicle.
Depending on the position and holding condit ion of the electronic key, the key may not
be detected correctly and the system may not operate properly. (The alarm may go off accidentally, or the door lock prev ention function may not operate.)
●Do not leave the electronic key inside the trunk.
The key confinement prevention function ma y not operate, depending on the location of the key (close to a spare tire [if equipped], the inside edge of the Trunk), conditions(inside a metal bag, close to metallic obje cts) and the radio waves in the surrounding
area. ( P. 172)

Fold the seatback completely for-
ward.
The front seat will move forward automatically.
■Returning the front seat to its original position
Move the seatback backward until it locks. The front seat will return to its orig-
inal position automatically.
■When adjusting the seat
●Take care when adjusting the seat so that the head restraint does not touch the ceiling.
●RC200t: When folding down a rear seatback, if it interferes with a front seatback,
adjust the front seat position so that the seats no longer interfere with each other. How- ever, if adjusting the front seat position causes the correct driving posture to not bemaintained, return the rear seatb ack to its original position. (P. 212)
■Lever-operated “Front, Fold & Return” seat
●After the front seat is moved forward by operating the “Front, Fold & Return” seat lever, if a power seat adjustin g switch or a driving position memory switch is pressed, the front
seat will not return to its original position even if the front seatback is moved backward until it locks.
●The lever-operated “Front, Fold & Return” se at will not operate in the following situa-
tions:
• The front seat belt of the seat to be operated is fastened. • The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode and the shift lever is in a position other
than P (driver's seat only).
●Operation of the lever-operated “Front, Fold & Return” seat will stop in the following sit-
uations:
• A power seat adjusting switch or a driv ing position memory switch is pressed. • The front seat belt of the seat which is operating is fastened.
• The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode and the shift lever is moved to a posi- tion other than P (d river's seat only).
■Jam protection function
While the lever-operated “Front, Fold & Return” seat is operating, if an object is stuck either in front of or behind the front seat, the front seat will stop and then move in the opposite direction slightly.

Your preferred driving position (the position of the driver's seat, steering wheel
and outside rear view mirrors) can be recorded and recalled by pressing a but-
ton.
Three different driving positions can be recorded into memory.
■Recording procedure
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Adjust the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and outside rear view mirrors to the
desired positions.
While pressing the “SET” button,
or within 3 seconds after the
“SET” button is pressed, press
button “1”, “2” or “3” until the
buzzer sounds.
If the selected button has already been preset, the previously recordedposition will be overwritten.
■Recall procedure
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Press one of the buttons for the
driving position you want to recall
until the buzzer sounds.

This feature automatically adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel and out-
side rear view mirrors to suit your preferences.

■To stop the position recall operation part-way through
Perform any of the following:
●Press the “SET” button.
●Press button “1”, “2” or “3”.
●Operate any of the seat adjustment switches (only cancels seat position recall).
●Operate the tilt and telescopic steering control switch (only cancels steering wheel position recall).
■Seat positions that can be memorized ( P. 209)
The adjusted positions other than the position adjusted by lumbar support switch can be recorded.
■Operating the driving position memory after turning the engine switch off
Recorded seat positions can be activated up to 180 seconds after the driver's door is opened and another 60 seconds after it is closed again.
■In order to correctly use the driving position memory function
If a seat position is already in the furthest possible position and the seat is operated in the same direction, the recorded position may be slightly different when it is recalled.
Each electronic key (including a card key) can be registered to recall your pre-
ferred driving position.
■Registering procedure
Record your driving position to button “1”, “2” or “3” before performing the
following:
Carry only the key you want to register, and then close the driver’s door.
If 2 or more keys are in the vehicle, the driving position cannot be recorded
properly.
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Recall the driving position that you want to record.
While pressing the recalled but-
ton, press and hold the door lock
switch (either lock or unlock) until
the buzzer sounds.
If the button could not be registered,
the buzzer sounds continuously for approximately 3 seconds.

■Recall procedure
Carry the electronic key that has been registered to the driving position,
and then unlock and open the driver’s door using the smart entry & start
system or wireless remote control.
The driving position will move to the recorded position (not including the steering wheel).
If the driving position is in a position that has already been recorded, the seat and
outside rear view mirrors will not move.
Turn the engine switch to ACCESSORY mode or IGNITION ON mode.
The steering wheel will move to the recorded position.
■Cancelation procedure
Carry only the key you want to cancel and then close the driver’s door.
If 2 or more keys are in the vehicle, the driving position cannot be canceled
properly.
Turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.
While pressing the “SET” button, press and hold the door lock switch
(either lock or unlock) until the buzzer sounds twice.
If the button could not be canceled, the buzzer sounds continuously for approxi-
mately 3 seconds.
■Recalling the driving position us ing the memory recall function
●Different driving positions can be registered for each electronic key. Therefore, the driving position that is recalled may be different depending on the key being carried.
●If a door other than the driver’s door is unlocked with the smart entry & start system, the
driving position cannot be reca lled. In this case, press the driving position button which has been set.
■Customization
The unlock door settings of the memory recall function can be changed. (Customizable features: P. 685)

Take care during seat adjustment so that the seat does not strike the rear passenger or
squeeze your body against the steering wheel.

When the engine switch is turned off,
the steering wheel returns to its stowed
position by moving up and away to
enable easier driver entry and exit.
Turning the engine switch to ACCES-
SORY or IGNITION ON mode will return the steering wheel to the originalposition.

■Caution while driving
Do not adjust the steering wheel while driving.
Doing so may cause the driver to mishandle the vehicle and cause an accident, result- ing in death or serious injury.
■After adjusting the steering wheel (manual type)
Make sure that the steering wheel is securely locked. Otherwise, the steering wheel may move suddenly, possibly causing an accident, andresulting in death or serious injury. Also, th e horn may not sound if the steering wheel is
not securely locked.

The height of the rear view mirror can be adjusted to suit your driving posture.
Adjust the height of the rear view mir-
ror by moving it up and down.
Responding to the level of brightness of the headlights of vehicles behind, the
reflected light is automatically reduced.
Changing automatic anti-glare func-
tion mode
ON/OFF
When the automatic anti-glare function is in ON mode, the indicator illuminates.
The function will set to ON mode each time the engine switch is turned to
IGNITION ON mode. Pressing the button turns the function toOFF mode. (The indicator also turns
off.)
Inside rear view mirror
The rear view mirror’s position can be adjusted to enable sufficient confirma-
tion of the rear view.

■Mirror angle can be adjusted when
The engine switch is in ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode.
■When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals (vehicles with an automatic folding/extending mirror function)
The automatic folding/extending mirror function will return to off as default. To turn the function on, press the switch again to select on.
■When the mirrors are fogged up
The outside rear view mirrors can be clea red using the mirror defoggers. Turn on the rear window defogger to turn on the outside rear view mirror defoggers. ( P. 484)
■Automatic adjustment of the mirror angle (if equipped)
A desired mirror face angle can be entered to memory and recalled automatically by the driving position memory. ( P. 214)
■Auto anti-glare function (if equipped)
When the anti-glare inside rear view mirror is set to automatic mode, the outside rear view mirrors will activate in co njunction with the anti-glare inside rear view mirror to reduce reflected light. ( P. 222)
■Using automatic mode in cold weather (if equipped)
When automatic mode is used in cold weat her, the door mirror could freeze up and automatic stowing and return may not be possible. In this case, remove any ice and snow
from the door mirror, then either operate the mirror using manual mode or move the mir- ror by hand.
■Customization
The automatic mirror folding and extending operation can be changed. (Customizable features: P. 685)

Do not touch the rear view mirror surfaces, as they can become very hot and burn you.
