•Do not hit or allow any objects toimpact the locations where airbags or sensors are installed.This may cause unexpected airbag deployment, which could re‐sult in serious personal injury ordeath.
•If the installation location or angleof the sensors is altered in anyway, the air bags may deploywhen they should not or they maynot deploy when they should,causing severe injury or death.Therefore, do not try to performmaintenance on or around the airbag sensors. We recommend thatthe system be serviced by an au‐thorized Kia dealer.
•Problems may arise if the sensorinstallation angles are changed dueto the deformation of the frontbumper, body or front door and Cpillars where side collision sensorsare installed. We recommend thatthe system be serviced by an au‐thorized Kia dealer.

•Your vehicle has been designed toabsorb impact and deploy the airbag(s) in certain collisions. Instal‐ling bumper guards or replacing abumper with non-genuine partsmay adversely affect your vehi‐cle's collision and air bag deploy‐ment performance.

If your vehicle is equipped with sideand curtain air bags, set the EngineStart/Stop button in the OFF posi‐tion when the vehicle is being towed.The side and curtain air bags maydeploy when the engine start/stopbutton is in the ON position, and therollover sensor detects the situationas a rollover.

Front air bags are designed to inflate in
a frontal collision depending on the in‐ tensity, speed or angles of impact of
the front collision.

However, side and/or curtain air
bags may inflate when the vehicle is
rolled over by a side impact collision,
if the vehicle is equipped with side
air bags and curtain air bags.
SRS Care
The SRS is virtually maintenance-free
and so there are no parts you can safe‐
ly service by yourself. If the SRS air bag
warning light does not illuminate, or
continuously remains on, we recom‐ mend that the system be inspected by
an authorized Kia dealer.
WARNING
•Modification to SRS components orwiring, including the addition ofany kind of badges to the pad cov‐ers or modifications to the bodystructure, can adversely affectSRS performance and lead to pos‐sible injury.
•For cleaning the air bag pad cov‐ers, use only a soft, dry cloth orone which has been moistenedwith plain water. Solvents or clean‐ers could adversely affect the airbag covers and proper deploymentof the system.
•No objects should be placed overor near the air bag modules on thesteering wheel, instrument panel,and the front passenger's panelabove the glove box, because anysuch object could cause harm ifthe vehicle is in a crash severeenough to cause the air bags to in‐flate.
•If the air bags inflate, we recom‐mend that the system be replacedby an authorized Kia dealer.

•Do not tamper with or disconnectSRS wiring, or other componentsof the SRS system. Doing so couldresult in injury, due to accidentalinflation of the air bags or by ren‐dering the SRS inoperative.
•If components of the air bag sys‐tem must be discarded, or if thevehicle must be scrapped, certainsafety precautions must be ob‐served. An authorized Kia dealerknows these precautions and cangive you the necessary informa‐tion. Failure to follow these pre‐cautions and procedures could in‐crease the risk of personal injury.
•If your car was flooded and hassoaked carpeting or water on theflooring, you shouldn't try to startthe engine; we recommend thatyou contact an authorized Kiadealer.
Additional safety precautions
•Never let passengers ride in the cargoarea or on top of a folded down backseat. All occupants should sit upright,
fully back in their seats with their
seat belts on and their feet on the
floor.

Odometer
The odometer indicates the total dis‐
tance that the vehicle has been driven and should be used to determine when
periodic maintenance should be per‐
formed. - Odometer range : 0 ~ 999999 kilome‐ ters or miles.
Outside temperature
This gauge indicates the current out‐
side air temperatures by 1°C (1°F). - Temperature range : -40°C ~ 60°C (-40°F ~ 140°F)
The outside temperature on the display
may not change immediately like a
general thermometer to prevent the driver from being inattentive.
The temperature unit can be changed
by using the "User Settings" mode of

•Turn on the car ignition before us‐ing this device. Do not operate theaudio system for long periods oftime with the ignition turned offas such operations may lead tobattery discharge.
•Do not subject the device to severeshock or impact. Direct pressureonto the front side of the monitormay cause damage to the LCD ortouch screen.
•When cleaning the device, makesure to turn off the device and usea dry and smooth cloth. Never usetough materials, chemical cloths,or solvents (alcohol, benzene, thin‐ners, etc.) as such materials maydamage the device panel or causecolor/quality deterioration.

UêB device is connected, it may
damage the UêB device. (UêB
flashdrives are very sensitive to
