Power windows
The ignition switch must be in the ON
position for power windows to oper-
ate. Each door has a power window
switch that controls the door’s win-
dow. The driver’s door has a master
power window switch that controls all
the windows in the vehicle. Also, the
driver has a power window lock
switch which can block the operation
of rear passenger windows.
The power windows can be operated
for approximately 30 seconds after
the ignition key is removed or turned
to the ACC or LOCK position.
However, if the front doors are
opened, the power windows cannot
be operated even within the 30 sec-
onds period.✽✽
NOTICE
Whilst driving with the rear win-
dows down or with the sunroof (if
equipped) in an open (or partially
open position), your vehicle may
demonstrate a wind buffeting or
pulsation noise. This noise is a nor-
mal occurrence and can be reduced
or eliminated by taking the follow-
ing actions. If the noise occurs with
one or both of the rear windows
down, partially lower both front
windows approximately one inch.
If you experience the noise with the
sunroof open, slightly reduce the
size of the sunroof opening. Window opening and closing

To open or close a window, press
down or pull up the front portion of
the corresponding switch to the firstdetent position (5).

If your vehicle is equipped with a
sunroof, you can slide or tilt your
sunroof with the sunroof control lever
located on the overhead console. The sunroof can only be opened, closed, or tilted when the ignition
switch is in the ON position. In cold and wet climates, the sun-
roof may not work properly due to
freezing conditions.
After the vehicle is washed or in a rainstorm, be sure to wipe off any
water that is on the sunroof before
operating it. Sunroof open warning (if equipped)
If the driver removes the ignition key
(smart key: turns off the engine) and
opens the driver-side door when the
sunroof is not fully closed, the warn-
ing chime will sound for approximate-
ly 7 seconds and a warning message
will appear on the LCD display. Close the sunroof securely when
leaving your vehicle.

Sunshade
To open the sunshade, press thesunshade control switch(1).
To close the sunshade when the sunroof glass is closed.
- Press the sunshade controlswitch(2).
❈ When you press the sunshade
close button (2) with the sunroof glass opened, the sunshade andsunroof glass will be closed.
To stop the sliding at any point, press
the sunshade control switch momen-

When the sunshade is closed
If you pull the sunroof control lever
backward, the sunshade will slide all
the way open then the sunroof glass
will slide all the way open. To stop the
sunroof movement at any point, pull
or push the sunroof control lever
momentarily.
When the sunshade is opened
If you pull the sunroof control lever
backward, the sunroof glass will slide
all the way open. To stop the sunroof
movement at any point, pull or push
the sunroof control lever momentarily.Tilting the sunroof
When the sunshade is closed
If you push the sunroof control lever
upward, the sunshade will slide all the
way open then the sunroof glass will tilt.
To stop the sunroof movement at any point, pull or push the sunroof control
lever momentarily.
When the sunshade is opened
If you push the sunroof control lever
upward, the sunroof glass will tilt.
To stop the sunroof movement at any point, pull or push the sunroof control
lever momentarily.

Closing the sunroof
To close the sunroof glass with
the sunshade
Push the sunroof control lever forward. The sunroof glass will close and then
the sunshade will close automatically.
To stop the sunroof movement at any point, pull or push the sunroof control
lever momentarily.
Automatic reversal
If an object or part of the body is detected whilst the sunroof glass or
sunshade is closing automatically, it
will reverse the direction, and then
stop.
The auto reverse function does not
work if a tiny obstacle is between thesliding glass or sunshade and the
sunroof sash. You should always
check that all passengers and
objects are away from the sunroof
before closing it.

WARNING - Sunroof
Be careful that someone’s head, hands and body are not
trapped by a closing sunroof.
Do not extend the face, neck, arms or body outside through
an opened sunroof whilstdriving.
Make sure your hands and face are safely out of the way
before closing a sunroof.
A panorama sunroof is made of glass, therefore it may break
in an accident. If you do not
have your seat belt on, you
may stick out of the broken
glass and get injured or killed.
For all passengers safety, have
an appropriate protection on.
(ex. seat belt, CRS, etc.)

Resetting the sunroof
Whenever the vehicle battery is dis- connected or discharged, or related
fuse is blown, you must reset your
sunroof system as follows:
1.Start the engine.
2.Close the sunroof completely ifopened.
3.Release the sunroof control lever.
4.Push the sunroof control lever for- ward in the direction of close (about 10 seconds) until the sun-
shade open and sunroof glass tilts.
Then, release the lever. 5.With in 3 seconds, push the sun-
roof control lever forward in the
direction of close, until the sunroof
operates as follows again: The sunroof glass slide open
The sunroof glass slide close
The sunshade close
Then, release the lever.
When this is complete, the sunroof system is reset.
For more detailed information, we

✽✽ NOTICE
If you do not reset the sunroof, it
may not work properly.
CAUTION
Periodically remove any dirt that may accumulate on theguide rail.
If you try to open the sunroof when the temperature isbelow freezing or when thesunroof is covered with snow or ice, the glass or the motorcould be damaged.
If you drive with the sunroof opened right after a vehiclewash or rain, water may get inside the vehicle.

It means that bonnet is open.
Tailgate Open
It means that the tailgate is open.
Sunroof Open (if equipped)
This warning message illuminatesif you turn off the engine and then
open the driver's door when thesunroof is open.
