What to do in an emergency
Then position the wrench as shown
in the drawing and tighten the wheel
nuts. Be sure the socket is seated
completely over the nut. Do not standon the wrench handle or use an
extension pipe over the wrench han-
dle. Go around the wheel tightening
every nut following the numerical
sequence shown in the image until
they are all tight. Then double-check
each nut for tightness. After changing
wheels, we recommend that the sys-
tem be checked by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.Wheel nut tightening torque:
Steel wheel & aluminum alloy wheel:9~11 kg·m (65~79 lb·ft)
If you have a tire gauge, remove the
valve cap and check the air pressure.
If the pressure is lower than recom-
mended, drive slowly to the nearest
service station and inflate to the cor-
rect pressure. If it is too high, adjust
it until it is correct. Always reinstall
the valve cap after checking or
adjusting tire pressure. If the cap is
not replaced, air may leak from the
tire. If you lose a valve cap, buyanother and install it as soon as pos-
sible.
After you have changed wheels,
always secure the flat tire in its place
and return the jack and tools to their
proper storage locations.

CAUTION
Your vehicle has metric threads
on the wheel studs and nuts.Make certain during wheelremoval that the same nuts thatwere removed are reinstalled - or, if replaced, that nuts withmetric threads and the samechamfer configuration are used.Installation of a non-metric thread nut on a metric stud orvice-versa will not secure thewheel to the hub properly andwill damage the stud so that it must be replaced.
Note that most lug nuts do nothave metric threads. Be sure touse extreme care in checkingfor thread style before installing aftermarket lug nuts or wheels. If in doubt, we recommend thatyou consult an authorizedHYUNDAI dealer.

IF YOU HAVE A FLAT TIRE (WITH TIRE MOBILITY KIT, IF EQUIPPED) (TYPE A)
For safe operation, carefully read
and follow the instructions in this
manual before use. (1) Compressor(2) Sealant bottle
The Tire Mobility Kit is a temporary
fix to the tire and we recommend that
the tire should be inspected by an
authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon
as possible. Introduction
With the Tire Mobility Kit you stay
mobile even after experiencing a tire
puncture. The system of compressor and seal-
ing compound effectively and com-
fortably seals most punctures in a
passenger car tire caused by nailsor similar objects and reinflates the
tire.
After you ensured that the tire is
properly sealed you can drive cau-tiously on the tire (distance up to 200
km (120 miles)) at a max. speed of
(80 km/h) in order to reach a service
station or tire dealer for the tirereplacement.

CAUTION
- One sealant for
one tire
When two or more tires are flat,
do not use the tire mobility kitbecause the supported onesealant of Tire Mobility Kit isonly used for one flat tire.
WARNING - Tire wall
Do not use the Tire Mobility Kit to repair punctures in the tire
walls. This can result in an acci-
dent due to tire failure.
WARNING - Temporary fix
Have your tire repaired as soon
as possible. The tire may loose
air pressure at any time after
inflating with the Tire MobilityKit.

9. Switch off the compressor.
10. Detach the hoses from the
sealant bottle connector and
from the tire valve.
Return the Tire Mobility Kit to its stor-
age location in the vehicle. Distributing the sealant
11. Immediately drive approximately
4~6miles (7~10km or, about
10min) to evenly distribute the
sealant in the tire.
Do not exceed a speed of 50 mph
(80 km/h). If possible, do not fall
below a speed of 12 mph (20 km/h).
While driving, if you experience any
unusual vibration, ride disturbance or
noise, reduce your speed and drive
with caution until you can safely pulloff of the side of the road.
Call for road side service or towing.
When you use the Tire Mobility Kit, the tire pressure sensors and wheel
may be damaged by sealant, removethe sealant stained with tire pressuresensors and wheel and inspect in
authorized dealer. Checking the tire inflation pres- sure
1.After driving approximately 4
~6miles(7~10km or about 10min),
stop at a safety location.
2.Connect connection hose (9) of the compressor directly to the tire
valve.
3.Plug the compressor power cord into the vehicle power outlet.
4.Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the recommended tire inflation.
With the ignition switched on, pro-
ceed as follows.
- To increase the inflation pres-sure : Switch on the compressor,
position I. To check the current
inflation pressure setting, briefly
switch off the compressor.
CAUTION - Tire pressure
Do not attempt to drive your
vehicle if the tire pressure isbelow 29 PSI(200kpa). Thiscould result in an accident due to sudden tire failure.
WARNING - Carbon
monoxide
Do not leave your vehicle run-
ning in a poorly ventilated area
for extended periods of time.
Carbon monoxide poisoning
and suffocation can occur.

Notes on the safe use of the TireMobilityKit
• Park your car at the side of the
road so that you can work with the
TireMobilityKit away from moving
traffic. Place your warning triangle
in a prominent place to make pass-
ing vehicles aware of your location.
To be sure your vehicle won't move, even when you're on fairly
level ground, always set your park-
ing brake.
Only use the TireMobilityKit for sealing/inflation passenger car
tires. Do not use on motorcycles,
bicycles or any other type of tires.
Do not remove any foreign objects- such as nails or screws -that have
penetrated the tire.
Before using the TireMobilityKit, read the precautionary advice
printed on the sealant bottle! Provided the car is outdoors, leave
the engine running. Otherwise
operating the compressor may
eventually drain the car battery.
Never leave the TireMobilityKit unattended while it is being used.
Do not leave the compressor run- ning for more than 10 min. at a time
or it may overheat.
Do not use the TireMobilityKit if the ambient temperature is below -30°C(-22°F).

NOTICE
If the TPMS indicator does not illu-
minate for 3 seconds when the igni-
tion switch is turned to the ON posi-
tion or engine is running, or if it
comes on after blinking for approxi-
mately one minute, we recommend
that you contact an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.Low tire pressure tell- tale
When the tire pressure monitoring
system warning indicator is illuminat-
ed, one or more of your tires is sig-nificantly under-inflated.
If the telltale illuminates, immediately
reduce your speed, avoid hard cor-
nering and anticipate increased stop-
ping distances. You should stop and
check your tires as soon as possible.Inflate the tires to the proper pres-
sure as indicated on the vehicle’splacard or tire inflation pressure label
located on the driver’s side center pil-
lar outer panel. If you cannot reach a
service station or if the tire cannot
hold the newly added air, replace the
low pressure tire with the spare tire.
Then the Low Tire Pressure telltale
may flash for approximately one
minute and then remain continuously
illuminated after restarting and about
20 minutes of continuous driving
before you have the low pressure tire
repaired and replaced on the vehicle.CAUTION
In winter or cold weather, the low tire pressure telltale may beilluminated if the tire pressurewas adjusted to the recom-mended tire inflation pressure in warm weather. It does notmean your TPMS is malfunction-ing because the decreased tem-perature leads to a proportional lowering of tire pressure.
When you drive your vehiclefrom a warm area to a cold areaor from a cold area to a warmarea, or the outside temperature is greatly higher or lower, youshould check the tire inflationpressure and adjust the tires tothe recommended tire inflation pressure.

Changing a tire with TPMS
If you have a flat tire, the Low Tire
Pressure will come on. We recom-
mend that the flat tire be checked by
an authorized HYUNDAI dealer. Each wheel is equipped with a tirepressure sensor mounted inside the
tire behind the valve stem. You must
use TPMS specific wheels. It is rec-
ommended that you have your tires
serviced by an authorized HYUNDAI
dealer.
Even if you replace the low pressure
tire with the spare tire, the Low Tire
Pressure Telltale will blink or remain
on until the low pressure tire is
repaired and placed on the vehicle.
After you replace the low pressure
tire with the spare tire, the Low Tire
Pressure Telltale may blink or illumi-
nate after a few minutes because theTPMS sensor mounted on the sparewheel is not initiated.
Once the low pressure tire is reinflat- ed to the recommended pressure
and installed on the vehicle or we
recommend that the TPMS sensormounted on the replaced spare
wheel be initiated by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer, the TPMS mal-
function indicator and the low tire
pressure telltale will extinguish within
a few minutes of driving. If the indicator is not extinguished
after a few minutes of driving, Werecommend that the system be
checked by an authorized HYUNDAI
dealer.
CAUTION
If original mounted tire is
replaced with the spare tire, theTPMS sensor on the replacedspare wheel should be initiatedand we recommend that the TPMS sensor on the originalmounted wheel be deactivatedby a HYUNDAI dealer. If theTPMS sensor on the original mounted wheel located in thespare tire carrier still activates, the tire pressure monitoringsystem may not operate proper- ly. We recommend that the sys-tem be serviced by an author-ized HYUNDAI dealer.CAUTION
We recommend that you use apuncture-repairing agentapproved by HYUNDAI.
The sealant on the tire pressuresensor and wheel shall be elim-inated when you replace the tirewith a new one.
