Allow the seatbelt to retract. As the
seatbelt retracts, you will hear a clicking
sound. This indicates the seatbelt is now
in the automatic locking mode.
How to Disengage the Automatic
Locking Mode
Unbuckle the combination lap and
shoulder belt and allow it to retract
completely to disengage the automatic
locking mode and return the seatbelt to
the vehicle sensitive (emergency) locking
mode.

ADJUSTMENT
WARNING
Position the safety belt height
adjuster so that the safety belt rests
across the middle of your shoulder.
Failure to adjust the safety belt correctly
could reduce its effectiveness and increase
the risk of injury in a crash. 1. Press the button.
2. Slide the height adjuster up or down.
3. Release the button and pull down on
the height adjuster to make sure it is
locked in place.
SEATBELT WARNING LAMP
AND INDICATOR CHIME This lamp illuminates and an
audible warning will sound if the
driver's safety belt has not been
fastened when the vehicle's ignition is
turned on.

1. Press the locking button.
2. Remove the wiper blade.
3. Install in the reverse order. Make sure
that the wiper blade locks into place.
Note: The windshield wiper blades are
different in length. If you install wiper blades
of the wrong length, the rain sensor may not
work correctly.
ADJUSTING THE HEADLAMPS
Vertical Aim Adjustment
If your vehicle has been involved in a crash,
have the aim of the headlamp beam
checked by an authorized dealer.

Vertical Aim Adjustment Procedure
1. Park your vehicle on level ground approximately 25 ft (7.6 m) from a wall
or screen.
2. Measure the distance from the ground
to the center of the headlamp low
beam bulb and mark an
8 ft (2.4 m)
long horizontal reference line on the
wall or screen at this height. Note:
There may be an identifying mark on
the lens to help you locate the center of the
bulb.
Note: To see a clearer light pattern while
adjusting one headlamp, you may want to
block the light from the other headlamp.
3. Switch on the low beam headlamps and open the hood.
