(FCA) System
If equipped, FCA may help avoid orreduce the harm caused byfront-end crashes. FCA provides a

Lane Departure
Warning (LDW)
If equipped, LDW may help avoidunintentional lane departures atspeeds of 56 km/h (35 mph) orgreater. LDW uses a camera sensorto detect the lane markings. The

Engine Oil Life System
The engine oil life system calculatesengine oil life based on vehicle useand, on most vehicles, displays aDriver Information Center (DIC)message when it is necessary tochange the engine oil and filter. Theoil life system should be reset to100% only following an oil change.
Resetting the Oil Life System

2. Press and holdVon the DIC,
or SET/CLR on the turn signallever if the vehicle does nothave DIC buttons, for severalseconds. The oil life willchange to 100%.

Driving for Better Fuel
Economy
Driving habits can affect fuelmileage. Here are some driving tipsto get the best fuel economypossible.
.Avoid fast starts and acceleratesmoothly.
.Brake gradually and avoidabrupt stops.
.Avoid idling the engine for longperiods of time.
.When road and weatherconditions are appropriate, usecruise control.
.Always follow posted speedlimits or drive more slowly whenconditions require.
.Keep vehicle tires properlyinflated.
.Combine several trips into asingle trip.

PressingKon the RKE transmitter
disarms the vehicle alarm system.SeeVehicle Alarm System036.
7:Press and release one time toinitiate vehicle locator. The turnsignal lamps flash and the hornsounds three times.
Press and hold7for at least
three seconds to sound the panicalarm. The turn signal lamps flashand the horn sounds repeatedly for30 seconds. The alarm turns offwhen the ignition is moved to ON/
RUN or7is pressed again. The
ignition must be in LOCK/OFF forthe panic alarm to work.
Programming Transmitters to
the Vehicle
Only RKE transmitters programmedto this vehicle will work. If atransmitter is lost or stolen, areplacement can be purchased andprogrammed through your dealer.Each vehicle can have up toeight transmitters programmed to it.See your dealer for transmitterprogramming.
Battery Replacement
Replace the battery in thetransmitter soon if the REPLACEBATTERY IN REMOTE KEYmessage displays in the DIC.
Caution
When replacing the battery, do
not touch any of the circuitry on
the transmitter. Static from your
body could damage the
transmitter.

1. Separate and remove the backcover of the transmitter with aflat, thin object, such as a coin.

Presszto heat the driver or
passenger cushion and seatback.
The indicator light comes on whenthis feature is on.
Press the button once for thehighest setting. With each press ofthe button, the seat will change tothe next lower setting, and then tothe off setting. The indicator lightsnext to the buttons indicate three forthe highest setting and one for thelowest. If the heated seats are onhigh, their level may automaticallybe lowered after approximately30 minutes.
Remote Start Auto Heated
Seats
During a remote start, the heatedseats can be turned onautomatically. The heated seats arecanceled when the ignition is turnedon. Press the heated seat button touse the heated seats after thevehicle is started.
The heated seat indicator lights donot turn on during a remote start.
The temperature performance of anunoccupied seat may be reduced.This is normal.
The heated seats will not turn onduring a remote start unless theyare enabled in the vehiclepersonalization menu. SeeRemoteVehicle Start032andVehiclePersonalization0139.
Rear Seats
Rear Seat Reminder
Look in Rear Seat ReminderFeature
If equipped, this message displaysunder certain conditions indicatingthere may be an item or passengerin the rear seat. Check beforeexiting the vehicle.
This feature will activate when asecond row door is opened whilethe vehicle is on or up to 10 minutesbefore the vehicle is turned on,including if the vehicle was startedremotely. There will be an alertwhen the vehicle is turned off. Thealert does not directly detect objectsin the rear seat; instead, undercertain conditions, it detects when arear door is opened and closed,indicating that there may besomething in the rear seat.
The feature is active only once eachtime the vehicle is turned on and off,and will require reactivation byopening and closing the second rowdoors. There may be an alert evenwhen there is nothing in the rear
