repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional.
Indicates that the EV drive mode is not available*
The reason the EV drive mode is not available
(the vehicle is idling, battery charge is low,
speed is higher than the EV drive mode operat-
ing speed range, accelerator pedal is
depressed too much) may be displayed.
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Use the EV drive mode when it becomes
available.

■Warning messages
The warning message illustrations used are intended as examples, and may
differ from the image that is actually displayed on the multi-information dis-
play.
■ Warning message in radar cruise mode (if equipped)
In the following situations, the warning message may not be displayed even if
vehicle-to-vehicle distance decreases:
●When your vehicle and the vehicle ahead are traveling at the same speed or
the vehicle ahead is traveling more quickly than your vehicle
● When the vehicle ahead is traveling at a very low speed
● Immediately after cruise control speed is set
● At the instant the accelerator pedal is depressed

• An attempt was made to lock either front door by opening a
door and putting the inside
lock button into the lock posi-
tion, then closing the door by
pulling on the outside door

still inside the vehicle.
→ Retrieve the electronic key
from the vehicle and lock
the doors again.

unlocked with the mechanical
key and then the power
switch was pressed, the elec-
tronic key could not be
detected in the vehicle.

switch turned off and then the
power switch was put in
ACCESSORY mode twice with-
out the hybrid system being
started.
→Press the power switch
while depressing the brake
pedal.
During a hybrid system starting
procedure in the event that the
electronic key was not function-
ing properly ( →P. 450), the
power switch was touched with
the electronic key.
→ Press the power switch
within 10 seconds of the
buzzer sounding.

An attempt was made to start
the hybrid system with the shift

and start the hybrid sys-
tem.
