However, in the following situations, the tire inflation pressure will not be
recorded and the system will not operate properly. Perform initialization
again.
lWhen operating the tire pressure wa rning reset switch, the tire pressure
warning light does not blink 3 times.
lAfter performing initialization, the ti re pressure warning light blinks for 1
minute then stays on while driving.
If the inflation pressure of each tire is still not displayed, have the vehicle
inspected by your Toyota dealer.

The following may indicate a problem with your transmission. Contact
your Toyota dealer or commercial towing service before towing.
lA warning message for the hybrid system is shown on the multi-
information display and the vehicle does not move.
l The vehicle makes an abnormal sound.
Do not tow with a sling-type truck
to prevent body damage.
If your vehicle needs to be towed
If towing is necessary, we re commend having your vehicle
towed by your Toyota dealer or a commercial towing service,
using a wheel-lift type truck or flatbed truck.
Use a safety chain system for all towing, and abide by all state/
provincial and local laws.

warning system
Stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn
the power switch off then on again.
If the tire pressure warning indicator
flashes for 1 minute then illuminates,
there is a malfunction in the system.
Have the vehicle inspected by your
Toyota dealer.
(If equipped)
Indicates that the tire position information can-
not be recognized
 Drive for a short while and check if the
display updates.
If the radio wave conditions improve, the
display may return to normal. If the tire
pressure is still not displayed after driv-
ing for several minutes, stop the vehicle
in a safe place, turn the power switch off
then on again, and start driving.
If the tire pressure is still not displayed
even after repeating this process several
times, have the vehicle inspected by your
Toyota dealer.
Indicates that the hybrid battery (traction battery)
is low.
 Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe
place. Turn the power switch off and then
to ON mode to rest art the hybrid system.
Ensuring the shift lever is in P, charge the
hybrid battery (traction battery).

In the following situations, the warning message may not be displayed even if
vehicle-to-vehicle distance decreases:
l When your vehicle and the vehicle ahead are traveling at the same speed or
the vehicle ahead is traveling more quickly than your vehicle
l When the vehicle ahead is traveling at a very low speed
l Immediately after cruise control speed is set
l At the instant the accelerator pedal is depressed
n The LDA (Lane Departure Alert) lane departure warning function (if
equipped)
In the following situations, a warning message will not be displayed even if a
lane line is crossed.
l When the vehicle speed deviates from the operating range of the LDA sys-
tem functions
l When the lane lines cannot be recognized
n
When a tire is replaced with the spare tire
The compact spare tire is not equipped with a tire pressure warning valve
and transmitter. If a tire goes flat, the tire pressure warning light will not
turn off even though the flat tire has been replaced with the spare tire.
