If a warning light turns on or a warning buzzer
sounds
Calmly perform the following actions if any of the warning lights comes on or
flashes. If a light comes on or flashes, bu
t then goes off, this does not necessar-
ily indicate a malfunction in the system. However, if this continues to occur,
have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.

Indicates a malfunction in the vehicle’s charging system
 Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and contact your
Lexus dealer.

• The electronic engine control system;
• The electronic throttle control system; or
• The electronic automatic transmission control system

• The SRS airbag system;
• The front passenger occupant classification system; or
• The seat belt pretensioner system
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.

When trouble arises
Electric power steering system warning light (warning buzzer) Indicates a malfunction in the EP S (Electric Power Steering) sys-
tem
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.

PCS (Pre-Collision System) warning light
●When the warning light flashes (and a buzzer sounds):
Indicates a malfunction in the PCS (Pre-Collision System)
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.
●When the warning light flashes (and a buzzer does not sound):
Indicates that the PCS (Pre-Collision System) is temporarily
unavailable, possibly due to either of the following:
• An area around the radar sensor or camera sensor being dirty
or covered with condensation, ice, stickers, etc.
 Clear the dirt, condensation, ice, stickers, etc.

• Radar sensor or camera sensor being outside of its operational
condition range. (temperature etc.)
 If operational condition (temperature etc.) is satisfied, PCS
(Pre-Collision System) becomes to be available.
●When the warning li ght is illuminated:
Either the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) system or PCS (Pre-
Collision System) is disabled or both are disabled.
 To enable the PCS (Pre-Collisio n System), enable both the
VSC system and PCS (Pre-Collision System).

Slip indicator
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The VSC system;
•The TRAC system; or
• The hill-start assist control system
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.
The light will flash when the VSC or TRAC system is operating.

Brake system warning light
Indicates a malfunction in the parking brake system
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.

Open door warning light (warning buzzer)*1
Indicates that a door or the trunk is not fully closed
 Check that all the doors and the trunk are closed.
Low fuel level warning light
Except F SPORT models of GS350/GS200t, and GS F: Indicates
remaining fuel is approximately 2.6 gal. (10.0 L, 2.2 Imp.gal.) or
less
F SPORT models of GS350/GS200t: Indicates remaining fuel is
approximately 2.6 gal. (9.9 L, 2.2 Imp.gal.) or less
 Refuel the vehicle.
Seat belt reminder light (warning buzzer)*2
Warns the driver and/or front passenger to fasten their seat belts
 Fasten the seat belt.
If the front passenger’s seat is occupied, the front passenger’s
seat belt also needs to be fa stened to make the warning light
(warning buzzer) off.
Master warning light A buzzer sounds and the warning light comes on and flashes to
indicate that the master warning system has detected a malfunc-
tion.

Tire pressure warning light
When the light comes on:
Low tire inflation pressure such as
• Natural causes ( P. 4 5 6 )
•Flat tire ( P. 4 9 1 , 5 0 2 )
 Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the specified level.
The light will turn off after a fe w minutes. In case the light does
not turn off even if the tire inflation pressure is adjusted, have the
system checked by your Lexus dealer.
When the light comes on after blinking for 1 minute:
Malfunction in the tire pressure warning system
 Have the system checked by your Lexus dealer.

When trouble arises
■Warning buzzer
In some cases, the buzzer may not be heard because of noisy place or an audio sound.
■Customization
The vehicle speed linked seat belt reminder buzzer can be disabled.

WA R N I N G
■If both the ABS and the brake system warning lights remain on
Stop your vehicle in a safe place immediat ely and contact your Lexus dealer. The vehi-
cle will become extremely unstable during braking, and the ABS system may fail, which
could cause an accident resulting in death or serious injury.
■When the electric power steering system warning light comes on
The steering wheel may become extremely heavy.
If the steering wheel becomes heavier than us ual when operating, hold firmly and oper-
ate using more force than usual.
■If the tire pressure warning light comes on
Be sure to observe the following precautions. Failure to do so could cause a loss of
vehicle control and result in death or serious injury.
●Stop your vehicle in a safe place as soon as possible. Adjust the tire inflation pressure
immediately.
●If the tire pressure warning light comes on even after tire inflation pressure adjust-
ment, it is probable that you have a flat tire. Check the tires. If a tire is flat, change it
with the spare tire and have the flat tire repaired by the nearest Lexus dealer.
●Avoid abrupt maneuvering and braking. If the vehicle tires deteriorate, you could lose
control of the steering wheel or the brakes.
■If a blowout or sudden air leakage should occur
The tire pressure warning system may not activate immediately.

Indicates that your vehicle is nearing the vehicle ahead
(in vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode)
At the same time, will appear on the head-up dis-
play (the image flashes).

 Slow the vehicle by applying the brakes.

Indicates that the vehicle has deviated from the lane
(while the LKA [Lane-Keeping Assist] or LDA [Lane
Departure Alert with steering control] system are oper-
ating)
The lane line on the side the vehicle has deviated from
flashes in amber.
At the same time, will appear on the head-up
display (the image flashes).
A buzzer also sounds.
 Check around the vehicle and back to inside of the
lane lines.
Indicates a malfunction in the brake system
A buzzer also sounds.

or more with the parking brake still engaged. A buzzer also sounds.
 Release the parking brake.
Indicates that the parking brake is engaged with the shift
position not in P

 Change the shift position to P.

Indicates a malfunction in the brake hold system
A buzzer also sounds.
 Depress the brake pedal to turn off the brake hold
system.
Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer
immediately.

Indicates that the brake hold system is turned on while on
a steep slope
A buzzer also sounds.
 Do not use only the brake hold system on steep
slopes. Be sure to also depress the brake pedal.

 Press the parking brake switch. If the warning mes-
sage is still displayed, have the vehicle inspected by
your Lexus dealer.
Indicates an attempt was made to release the parking
brake without depressing the brake pedal
A buzzer also sounds.
 Release the parking brake while depressing the
brake pedal.
Indicates that the shift position was changed and drive
start control was operated while depressing the acceler-
ator pedal
A buzzer also sounds.
 Momentarily release th e accelerator pedal.
Indicates an attempt was made to shift to 1st gear with
the shift position in M while on a slippery surface
The vehicle will not shift down from 2nd gear.
A buzzer also sounds.
