Never leave a child alone inside the

with the ignition on, as they

ould release the parking brake.
When stationary, with the engine running, do not press the accelerator pedal unnecessarily,

you may release the parking brake.
In the case of towing, a loaded vehicle or parking on a gradient, turn the front

heels towards the pavement and

ngage a gear when you park.The
electric parking brake releases
automatically and progressively when you
press the accelerator:

Moving off
If position N is engaged inadvertently while driving, allow the engine to
r
eturn to idle then engage position D to
accelerate. F

f the six gears.
The gearbox then operates in auto-adaptive
m
ode, without any intervention on the part
o
f the driver. It continuously selects the most
s
uitable gear according to the style of driving, t
he profile of the road and the load in the
vehicle.
For
maximum acceleration without touching
t
he selector, press the accelerator pedal down
fully
(kick down). The gearbox changes down
a
utomatically or maintains the gear selected
u
ntil the maximum engine speed is reached.
On
braking, the gearbox changes down
a
utomatically to provide effective engine
b
raking.
If you release the accelerator sharply, the
gearbox
will not change to a higher gear for
s
afety reasons.
When
the engine is running at idle, with
t
he brakes released, if position R,
D
or
M is selected, the vehicle moves
e
ven without the accelerator being
p
ressed.
Never leave children unsupervised in
the
vehicle when the engine is running.
When
carrying out maintenance with
t
he engine running, apply the parking
b
rake and select position P.
Never select position N while the
vehicle
is moving.
Never select positions P or R unless the
vehicle
is completely stationary.
If
the parking brake does not release
a
utomatically, check that the front doors

re fully closed.

If the selector is not in position P ,
when the driver's door is opened or

gear

automatically.
It is not necessary to release the accelerator

It

possible
to
change

(automatic)
to

(manual)
at
any
time.
The
sport
and
snow
programmes
do
not

perate
in
manual
mode. Before

In
both cases, apply the parking brake to

mmobilise the vehicle, unless it is programmed

On a steep descent or in the event of
sharp acceleration, the speed limiter
w
ill not be able to prevent the vehicle
from
exceeding the programmed speed. The
use of mats not approved by
C
ITROËN may inter fere with the o
peration of the speed limiter.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the
ped
als:

nsure that the mat is positioned
c
o r r e c t l y,
-
d
o not fit one mat on top of another.
Temporarily exceeding the
programmed speed
F If you want to temporarily exceed the p
rogrammed limit speed, press firmly on
the
accelerator pedal, going beyond the
p
oint of resistance .
The
speed limiter is deactivated temporarily
a
nd the displayed programmed speed flashes.
Switching off
When the limit speed is exceeded but is not due to action by the driver, there is an audible
signal
to complete the alert.
Once the speed of the vehicle returns to
the
programmed setting, the speed limiter
f
unctions again: the display of the programmed
s
peed setting becomes steady again.

Operating fault
Flashing dashes indicate a fault with the speed limiter.

Fuel
Capacity of the tank: approximately 60 litres.When the low fuel level in the
tank
is reached, this warning lamp
c
omes on in the instrument panel,
a
ccompanied by an audible warning

nd the display of an alert message.
W
hen it first comes on, around
6
litres of fuel remain in the tank.
Low fuel level
Additions of fuel must be of at least 5 litres to be registered by the fuel gauge.
Opening
the filler cap may result in an inrush of
a
ir. This vacuum is entirely normal and results
f
rom the sealing of the fuel system.

f the fuel flap is heard.

his control remains active for a few

inutes after switching off the ignition. If

ecessary, switch the ignition on again to

eactivate it.
