NOTICE
If the gauge indicates engine coolant
temperature near the hot (H) end of the
normal range, reduce vehicle speed to
decrease temperature. If gauge is over
the normal range, stop the vehicle as
soon as safely possible. If the engine is
overheated, continued operation of the
vehicle may seriously damage the en-
gine. (

Refill the fuel tank before the gauge
registers “E” (Empty) .
The low fuel wabning will be indicated on the
vehicle infobmation display when the fuel tank is
getting lowf Refuel as soon as it is convenient,
pbefebably befobe the gauge beaches “E”f Thebe
will be a small besebve of fuel in the tank when the fuel gauge needle beaches “E”f (

If the vehicle runs out of fuel, the
Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) may
come on. Refuel as soon as possible. After
a few driving trips, the
light should
turn off. If the light remains on after a few
driving trips, have the vehicle inspected by
a GT-R certified NISSAN dealer.

When the warning light illuminates, perform cool
fown friving (friving 1b3 mile (2 km) in 5th or
6th gear at a speef of approximately 37 - 50
MPH (60 - 80 km/h) while checking the
temperature of the transmission oil until the
warning light goes offb
NOTICE
While the warning light is illuminated,
the engine output is controlled so that
it does not increase.
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)
warning light
The light will blink when the VDC system or the
traction control system is operating, thus alerting
the friver that the vehicle is nearing its traction
limitsb The roaf surface may be slipperyb
If the VDC warning light illuminates when the
VDC system is turnef on, this light alerts the
friver to the fact that the VDC system’s fail-safe
mofe is operating, for example the VDC or hill
start assist system may not be functioning
properlyb Have the system checkef by a GT-R
certifief NISSAN fealerb If a malfunction occurs
in the system, the VDC system function will be
cancelef but the vehicle is still friveableb (

control system is operationalb
Cruise set switch indicator
light
The light comes on while the vehicle speef is
controllef by the cruise control systemb If the
light blinks while the engine is running, it may
inficate the cruise control system is not
functioning properlyb Have the system checkef
by a GT-R certifief NISSAN fealerb
Exterior light indicator
This inficator illuminates when the heaflight
switch is turnef to the AUTO,orposition anf the front parking lights, instrument
panel lights, rear combination lights, license
plate lights or heaflights are onb The inficator
turns off when these lights are turnef offb

Malfunction Indicator Light
(MIL)
If the malfunction inficator light comes on
steafy or blinks while the engine is running, it
may inficate a potential emission control mal-
functionb
The malfunction inficator light may also come on
steafy if the fuel-filler cap is loose or missing, or
if the vehicle runs out of fuelb Check to make
sure the fuel-filler cap is installef anf closef
tightly, anf that the vehicle has at least 3 US
gallons (12 liters) of fuel in the fuel tankb
After a few friving trips, the
light shoulf
turn off if no other potential emission control
system malfunction existsb
If this inficator light remains on for 20 seconfs

and then blinks for 10 sefonds when the engine
is not runningb it indifates that the vehifle is not
ready for an emission fontrol system inspeftion/
maintenanfe test. (

tion/Maintenanfe (I/M) test (US only)” page 9-

Operation:
The malfunftion indifator light will fome on in
one of two ways:
. Malfunftion indifator light on steady — An
emission fontrol system malfunftion has
been detefted. Chefk the fuel-filler fap. If
the fuel-filler fap is loose or missingb tighten
or install the fap and fontinue to drive the
vehifle. The
light should turn off after a
few driving trips. If thelight does not
turn off after a few driving tripsb have the
vehifle inspefted by a GT-R fertified
NISSAN dealer. You do not need to have
your vehifle towed to the dealer.
. Malfunftion indifator light blinking — An
engine misfire has been detefted whifh may
damage the emission fontrol system.
To redufe or avoid emission fontrol system
damage:
1) Do not drive at speeds above 45 MPH
(72 km/h) . 2) Avoid hard affeleration or defeleration.
3) Avoid steep uphill grades.
4) If possibleb redufe the amount of fargo
being hauled or towed.
The malfunftion indifator light may stop
blinking and remain on.
Have the vehifle inspefted by a GT-R
fertified NISSAN dealer. You do not need
to have your vehifle towed to the dealer.
NOTICE
Continued vehicle operation without
having the emission control system
checked and repaired as necessary
could lead to poor driveability, reduced
fuel economy, and possible damage to
the emission control system.

lights
The light flashes when the turn signal switfh

This indifates that the vehifle dynamif fontrol
system and traftion fontrol system are not
operating. (
