with skin, eyesorc lothing. Do not inhal efuel
vapours. Keep fuel sout of the reach of chil-
dren.
If you or others come into contact with fuel,
observe the following:
R Wash the fuel off any affected area sofskin
with water and soap immediately.
R If you get fuel in youre yes, rinse them thor-
oughly with clea nwater immediately. Seek
immediate medical attention.
R If fuel is swallowed,s eek immediate medi-
cal attention. Do not induce vomiting.
R Change any clothing that has come into
contact with fuel immediately.

! Do not use diesel to refue
lvehicles with a
petrol engine. Do not switch on the ignitio nif
you accidentally refue lwith the wrong fuel.
Otherwise, the fuel wille nter the fuel system.
Even smal lamounts of the wrong fuel can
result in damage to the fuel system and the
engine. Notify aqualified specialist workshop
and have the fuel tank and fuel lines drained
completely.
! Only refue
lusing unleadedp etrol with at
least 95 ROZ ,that conforms to the European
standar dEN228 orEDIN or an equivalent
specification.
Fuel of this specificatio nmay contain up to
10% ethanol .Yourv ehicl eiss uitable for use
with E10 fuel .You may refue lyou rv ehicle
using E10 fuel.
Fuel that does not conform to EN 228 can lead
to increased wearasw ellasd amage to the
engine and exhaust system.
! Only use the fuel recommended. Operating
the vehicl ewith other fuel scan leadtoe ngine
failure.
! Do not use the following:
R E85 (petrol with 85% ethanol)
R E100 (100% ethanol)
R M15 (petrol with 15% methanol)
R M30 (petrol with 30% methanol)
R M85 (petrol with 85% methanol)
R M100 (100% methanol)
R petrol with additives containing metal
R diesel
Do not mix such fuel swith the fuel recom-
mended for yourv ehicle.

driving at full throttle and sudden acceleration.
Never refuel using fuel with alower RON.
i In some countries, the available petro
lmay
not be sufficiently low in sulphur. This fuel can temporarily produce unpleasant odours,
especially on short journeys. As soon as sul-
phur-free fuel (sulphur conten t<10ppm) is
used for refuelling, the odours are reduced.
Information on refuelling (Y page 167).
Mercedes-AMG vehicles
! Only refuel using super unleaded petro
lwith
at least 98 ROZ, that conform stoEuropean
standard EN 228 or an equivalent specifica-
tion.
You can otherwise impair engin eoutput or
damage the engine.
Fuel of this specification may contain up to
10% ethanol. Your vehicle is suitable for use
with E10 fuel. You may refuel your vehicle
using E10 fuel.
! As
atemporary measure, if the recommen-
ded fuel is not available, you may also use
unleaded petro lwith an octane ratin gof
95 RON. This may reduce engin eperform-
ance and increase fuel consumption .Asmuch
as possible, avoid driving at full throttle.
! As
atemporary measure, if the recommen-
ded fuel is not available, you may also use
unleaded petro linemergencies with an
octane ratin gof91RON.
Doin gsor esults in noticeably higher fuel con-
sumption ,and the engin epower output is
noticeably reduced. Avoid driving at full throt- tle.
If no fuel other than petro lwith 91 RON or a
lower grade is available, you should have the
vehicle adapted to run on this fuel at aquali-
fied specialist workshop.
C2 00, C250
! Only refuel using sulphur-free unleaded pet-
rol with at least 95 ROZ ,that conform stothe
European standard EN 228 or EDIN or an
equivalent specification.
You could otherwise impair engin eoutput or
damage the emission control system.

not be sufficiently low in sulphur. This fuel can temporarily produce unpleasant odours,
especially on short journeys. As soon as sul- phur-free fuel (sulphur conten

used for refuelling, the odours are reduced.
C3 00
! Only refuel using super unleaded petro
lwith
at least 98 ROZ, if you want maximum per-
formance from the engine. Alternatively, you
can also use unleaded petro lofatleast
95 ROZ.
As atemporary measure, if the recommended
fuel is not available, you may also use regular
unleaded petro lwith an octane ratin gof
91 ROZ. Doin gsoresults in higher fuel con-
sumption and significantly reduced perform-
ance. Never refuel using fuel with alower
RON.
Fuel of this specification may contain up to
10% ethanol.
Fuel that does not conform to EN 228 or EDIN
51626–1 can lead to increased wear as well
as damage to the engin eand exhaust system.
Additives ! Operatin
gthe engin ewith fuel additives
added later can lead to engin efailure. Do not
mix fuel additives with fuel. This does not
include additives for the removal and preven-
tion of residue build-up. Petro lmust only be
mixed with additives recommended by
Mercedes-Benz.O bserve the instructions for
use in the product description. More informa- tion about recommended additives can be
obtained from any Mercedes-Benz Service
Centre.
Mercedes-Benz recommends that you use fuel
brands that have additives.
The quality of the fuel available in some coun-
tries may not be sufficient. Residue could build
up in the fuel injection system as aresult. In this
case, in consultation with aMercedes-Benz Ser-
vice Centre, the petro lmay be mixed with the
cleanin gadditive recommended by Mercedes-
Benz. Always observe the notes and mixing
ratios specified on the container.
