Before driving Canceling the power back door system
Turn off the main switch in the glov e box to disable th e power back door
system.

even with the wireless remote con-
trol or power back door switch.

The power back door can be operated when ●
The back door is unlocked. (Except for using the back door opener button or
wireless remote control, when the power back door can be operated even if it is
locked.)●
The power back door main switch is on.●
To open the power back door when the “POWER” switch is in ON mode, the
power back door main switch must be on, the vehicle speed must be lower than
1 mph (3 km/h) and the shift lever must be in P. (When using the back door
opener button only)●
The “POWER” switch is turned off. (When using the wireless remote control
only)■
Luggage compartment lights
The luggage compartment lights turn on
when the back door is opened with the lug-
gage compartment light switch on.
When the “POWER” switch is turned off, the
lights will go off automatically after 20 min-
utes.

Automatic anti-glare function
Responding to the level of brightness of the headlights of vehicles behind,
the reflected light is automatically reduced.

When the automatic anti-glare
function is in ON mode, the indica-
tor illuminates.
The function will set to ON mode
each time the “POWER” switch is
turned to ON mode.
Pressing the button turns the func-
tion to OFF mode. (The indicator
also turns off.) The rear view mirror’s position can be adjusted to enable sufficient confir-
mation of the rear view in accordance with the driver's seating posture.

Alarm The system sounds the alarm and flashe s the lights when forcible entry is
detected.
■ Triggering of the alarm
The alarm is triggered in the follow ing situations when the alarm is
set:
● A locked door is unlocked or open ed in any way other than using
the entry function, wireless r emote control or mechanical key.
(The doors will lock again automatically.)
● The hood is opened.
■ Setting the alarm system
Vehicles with a navigation system or the Lexus Display Audio sys-
tem Close the doors and hood, and
lock all the doors.
The system will be set automati-
cally after 30 seconds.
The indicator light changes from
being on to flashing when the
system is set.

Turn signals can be operated when

If the indicators flash faster than usual
Check that a light bulb in the front or re ar turn signal lights has not burned out.■
If the turn signals stop flashing before a lane change has been performed
Operate the lever again.■
To discontinue flashing of the tu rn signals during a lane change
Operate the lever in the opposite direction.
