WARNING LAMPS
Every time the engine is started: a series of warning lamps comes on, ap\
plying a self-checking test. They go off almost immediately.
When the engine is running: a warning lamp becomes a warning sign if it \
remains on continuously or flashes. This initial warning
may be accompanied by an audible signal and a message in the screen. "Do\
not ignore these warnings."
Warning lamp is indicates Solution - action
Service on temporarily.
minor faults. Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
continuously on,
accompanied by
a message on
the screen. major faults.
Make a note of the warning message and contact a
CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
Parking brake -
Brake fluid level on.
that the parking brake is applied or
has not been released correctly. Releasing the parking brake switches off the warning
lamp.
on. that the fluid level is too low. Top up with a fluid listed by CITROËN.
continuously on,
even though the
level is correct. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so. Park, switch
off the ignition and contact a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.

+ Electronic brake
force distribution on.
a fault with the system. Stop as soon as it safe to do so. Contact a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.
Anti-lock braking
system on.
a fault with the system. The vehicle retains conventional braking without
assistance. However, we recommend that you stop and
contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

Park and switch off the ignition. Allow the system to cool
sufficiently. Visually check the level.

Engine oil
pressure on while driving.
that the pressure is too low. Park and switch off the ignition. Allow the lubrication
system to cool in order to check its level.

the engine oil. Have the engine oil changes as soon as possible. After

Battery charge on.

system. Check the battery terminals….

Door or bonnet

his seat belt. Pull the strap then insert the tongue in the buckle.

Check that the seat belt is fastened correctly by pulling
the strap. Refer to "Seat belts" section of chapter 5.

Power steering on,

assistance.

Front/lateral

Pneumatic
suspension on.

Brake pads on. front brake pads worn. Have the brake pads replaced by a CITROËN dealer or

be completed.

Tyre under-
inflation
detection on.
a tyre deflated or punctured. Park and switch off the ignition. Change or repair the
wheel.

Lane departure
warning flashing,

Turn the steering wheel in the other direction to return
to the correct trajectory.
unintended wander to the right.
Electronic
immobiliser on.
the ignition key introduced has
not been recognised .
Staring is not possible. Change the key and have the faulty key checked by a
CITROËN dealer.

Water in Diesel
fuel filter on,

Low fuel level on with the

zone E.
that the fuel reserved is being
used. Fill up with fuel without delay. The calculation of the
remaining fuel depends on the style of driving, the
profile of the road, the time elapsed and the distance
travelled since the warning lamp first came on.

Diesel pre-
heating on. that the weather conditions
impose pre-heating. Wait for the warning lamp to switch off before operating
the starter.

Dipped beam
on. a manual selection.
Turn the lighting control stalk ring to the second
position.
Main beam that the control stalk has been
pulled towards you. Pull the lighting control stalk again to return to dipped
beam.
Direction
indicators flashing with
buzzer. a change of direction using the
lighting stalk. To the Right: press the stalk upwards.
To the Left: press the stalk downwards.
Front foglamps on. that the button on the MODE
control panel has been pressed. Manual selection.
The foglamps only operate if the dipped beam
headlamps are on.
Rear foglamps on. that the button on the MODE
control panel has been pressed. Manual selection.
The lamps only operate if the dipped beam headlamps
are on. When visibility is normal, please switch them off.
Cruise control on. that the cruise control has been
selected. Manual selection.

Ice the ice warning,

height a headlamp
height setting. a position from 0 to 3
depending on the load carried Adjust using the buttons on the MODE control panel.

Service spanner a service
spanner which
remains on. that a service will soon be due.
Refer to the list of checks in the maintenance and
warranty guide, then have the service carried out.
Stop & Start on.
engine going into STOP mode
after the the vehicle stops. As soon as you want to move off, the warning lamp
goes off and the engine restarts automatically in
START mode.
flashes for a few
seconds, then
goes off. STOP mode temporarily
unavailable or automatic
operation of START mode.
