During route guidance, you can manually exclude the route section immediately ahead of your current location. The route exclusion is revoked when route guidance is stopped.
x In the Navigation main menu, press the Route function key ⇒ fig. 218.
x In the pop-up window, press the Avoid area function key.
The Avoid area menu opens. The length of the stretch to be excluded from the current vehicle position.
x Press the ` function key to specify up to which route section the route ahead should be blocked.
x Press the a function key to shorten the route exclusion.
x Press the OK function key to confirm the exclusion entry.

x Carefully fold the wiper arm back down onto the window.
Changing wiper blades
x Lift the wiper arm(s) away from the windshield.
x Tilt the wiper blade 90 ° clockwise to the wiper arm and pull off the wiper blade ⇒ fig. 303.
x Install a new wiper blade of same length and type onto the wiper arm by pushing in the opposite direction of the arrow until it latches.
x Carefully fold the wiper arm back down onto the windshield.
Changing the rear window wiper blade
x Lift the wiper arm away from the rear window.
x Pull the wiper blade and the retainer out of the holder.
x Install a new wiper blade of same length and type onto the wiper arm by pushing in the opposite
direction of the arrow ⇒ fig. 304 until it latches.
x Carefully fold the wiper arm back down onto the rear window.
WARNING
Worn or dirty wiper blades reduce visibility and increase the risk of accidents and severe injuries.
x Always change wiper blades if they are damaged or worn, and if they cannot clean the windows sufficiently.
NOTICE
x Damaged or dirty wiper blades can scratch the windshield and the rear window.
x Solvents, abrasive sponges and sharp-edged objects will damage the graphite coating on the wiper blades.
x Do not clean the windows with gasoline, nail polish remover, paint thinner or similar fluids.
x To help prevent damage to the engine hood and the windshield wiper arms, lift the wiper arms away from the windshield only when they are in the service position.
