ALARM
System which protects and dissuades
against the theft of your vehicle. It pro-
vides two types of protection, exterior
and interior, as well as an anti-tamper
function.
Locking the vehicle with
full alarm
Do not make any modifi cations to
the alarm system, this could cause
malfunctions. In order to be taken into account,
this deactivation must be car-
ried out each time the ignition is
switched off.
In the "cabriolet" confi guration, the
interior protection is deactivated
automatically.
Locking the vehicle with
perimiter protection only
Activation
 Switch off the ignition and get out of
the vehicle.
 Lock or deadlock the vehicle using the locking button on the remote
control.
The alarm is activate; the indicator lamp
on button A fl ashes once per second.
The perimiter protection is activated
5 seconds after pressing the locking
button on the remote control.
The volumetric protection is activated
45 seconds after pressing the locking
button on the remote control.
If a door or the boot is open or not
properly closed, the vehicle is not
locked, but the perimiter protection will
be activated after 45 seconds at the
same time as the volumetric protection.
Exterior perimeter protection
The system detects opening of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to
enter the vehicle by forcing a door, the
boot or the bonnet.
Interior volumetric protection
The system detects any variation in the
volume in the passenger compartment.
The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks
a window or moves inside the vehicle.
If you wish to leave a pet in the vehicle
or a window partially open, deactivate
the interior protection.
Anti-tamper function
The system detects the putting out of
service of its components.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries
to put the wires of the siren, the central
control or the battery out of service. Deactivation
 Unlock the vehicle using the unlock-
ing button on the remote control.
The alarm is deactivated; the indicator
lamp on button A switches off.
Deactivation of the interior
volumetric protection
 Switch off the ignition.
 Within ten seconds, press button A un-
til the indicator lamp is lit continuously.
 Get out of the vehicle.
 Quickly lock or deadlock the vehicle using the locking button on the re-
mote control.
The exterior perimeter protection alone
remains activated; the indicator lamp on
button A fl ashes once per second.

BONNET
Protects the components of the engine
and provides access for checking levels.
 Push the exterior safety catch B to
the left and raise the bonnet.  Unclip the stay
C from its housing.
 Fix the stay in one of the two notch- es to hold the bonnet open.
Closing
 Take the stay out of the support notch.
 Clip the stay in its housing.
 Lower the bonnet and release it at the end of its travel.
 Pull on the bonnet to check that it is secured correctly.
RUNNING OUT OF FUEL
(DIESEL)
Opening
 Open the front left door.
 Pull the interior release lever A ,
located at the bottom of the door
frame.
The location of the interior release
lever prevents opening of the bon-
net while the left hand front door is
closed.
When the engine is hot, handle the
exterior safety catch and bonnet
stay with care (risk of burns).
1.6 litre HDi engine
 Fill the fuel tank with at least fi ve li-tres of diesel.
 Open the bonnet.
 If necessary, unclip the styling cover for access to the priming pump.
 Squeeze and release the priming pump repeatedly until resistance is
felt (there may be resistance at the
fi rst press).

Operate the starter until the engine
starts (if the engine does not start at the
fi rst attempt, wait around 15 seconds
before trying again).
 If the engine does not start after a few attempts, operate the priming
pump again then start the engine.
 Clip the styling cover back in place.
 Close the bonnet. On vehicles fi tted with HDi engines, the
fuel system must be primed if you run
out of fuel; refer to the corresponding
engine compartment view.
If the tank on your vehicle is fi tted with
a misfuel prevention device, refer to the
"Misfuel prevention (Diesel)" section.
Because of the presence of elec-
trical equipment under the bonnet,
it is recommended that exposure
to water (rain, washing, ...) be re-
stricted. If the engine does not start fi rst time,
don't keep trying but start the procedure
again from the beginning.

BATTERY
Procedure for charging your battery
when it is fl at or for starting the engine
using another battery.
Access to the battery
Starting using another battery
 Connect the red cable to the posi-tive terminal (+) of the fl at battery A ,
then to the positive terminal (+) of
the slave battery B .
 Connect one end of the green or black cable to the negative termi-
nal (-) of the slave battery B .
 Connect the other end of the green or black cable to the vehicle's offset
earth point.
 Start the support vehicle.
 Operate the starter of the broken down vehicle and let the engine run.
 Wait until the engine returns to idle and disconnect the cables.
The battery is located under the bonnet.
To gain access to it:
 open the bonnet using the interior re-
lease lever, then the exterior safety
catch,
 secure the bonnet stay,
 lift the plastic cover on the (+) terminal.
Certain vehicle functions may not
be available if the battery is not suf-
fi ciently charged.
