remote control transmitters you wish toregister. 2. With a valid (already registered) remote control transmitter, press the UNLOCKbutton (2) for 4 to 10 seconds. Then press and hold the LOCK button (1). 3. Within 5 seconds of pressing the LOCKbutton, release the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons in sequence. At this time, ID codes for all remote con- trol transmitters except for the transmitter used in steps 2 and 3 are erased and theanswerback function (door is locked and unlocked) informs you that the registra- tion mode has been activated.4. Within 60 seconds after step 3, complete the following ID code
registration opera-
tion using the next remote control trans-mitter you wish to register within 4 seconds. i) Press both the LOCK and UNLOCKbuttons for 2 seconds. ii) Release both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons for 1 second.iii) Press the UNLOCK button. The answerback function informs you that the ID code registration

When a person enters the operating range ofthe F.A.S.T.-key while carrying the F.A.S.T.- key and presses the driver’s or front passen- ger’s door lock/unlock switch, the liftgateLOCK switch or the li

The doors and the liftgate can only be lockedand unlocked and the engine can only be started when the ID codes of the vehicle and F.A.S.T.-key match.

Use the emergency key in such circum- stances.Refer to “To operate

F.A.S.T.-key” on page 5-26.  The F.A.S.T.-key is constantly performing reception operations
in its communication
with the vehicle. This means that the battery is always running down, regardless of howoften the F.A.S.T.-key is used. The battery life is about 1 to 3 years, depending on the usage conditions.  Since the F.A.S.T.-key is constantly perform- ing reception operati
ons, the reception of
strong electrom
agnetic waves
can accelerate
the running down of the
battery. Do not place

1. Before replacing the
battery, remove static
electricity from your body by touching ametal grounded object. 2. With the Mitsubishi mark facing you, insert the cloth-covered tip of a flat bladescrewdriver into the notch in the case and use it to open the case.
3. Remove the old battery. 4. Install a new battery with the +side (A) up. 5. Close the case firmly. 6. Check the keyless entry system to see that it works.
 To use the new remote control transmitters, it is necessary to register the key with both theelectronic immobilizer
and keyless entry sys-

2. If the tire pressure monitoring system warning light remain
s illuminated after
you have been driving for about 20 min- utes after you adjust the tire inflation pres- sure, one or more of the tires may have apuncture. Inspect the ti
re and if it has a
puncture, have it re
paired by an autho-
rized Mitsubishi Motors dealer as soon aspossible.
The tire pressure monitoring system may not work normally in the following circum- stances:  A wireless facility
or device using the
same frequency is near the vehicle.  Snow or ice is stuck inside the fenders and/or on the wheels. The tire inflation pressure sensor’s battery is dead.  Wheels other than Mitsubishi genuine wheels are being used.  Wheels that are not fitted with tire infla- tion pressure sensors are being used. Wheels whose ID codes are not memo- rized by the vehicle are used.  Compact spare tire is fitted as a road wheel.
 A window tint that affects the radio wave signals is installed.

r persons, animals,
obstructions or other vehicles. Failure to do so can result in

injury or death. The rear-view camera is an aid system for backing up, but it is not a substitute foryour visual confirmation. The view on the screen is limited, and objects outside the view, such as under the bumper or around either corner of the bumper end, cannot be seen on the screen.
