2014 FORD F250 SUPER DUTY remove seats

This feature will automatically recall theposition of the driver's seat, power mirrors,and adjustable pedals. The memorycontrol is located on the driver's door.
To program position 1:
1. Move the memory features to thedesired positions using the associatedcontrols.
2.Press and hold button 1 for at least twoseconds. A chime will sound confirmingthat a memory position has been set.
To program position 2, repeat the previousprocedure using button 2.
You can program the memory feature toa remote entry transmitter. See Keys andRemote Controls (page 46).
You can recall a programmed memoryposition:
•in any gearshift position if the ignitionis not on.
•only in position P or N if the ignition ison.
You can recall the memory positions whenyou press your remote entry transmitterunlock control (if the transmitter isprogrammed to a memory position) or,when you enter a valid personal entry codethat is programmed to a memory position.The mirrors will move to the programmedposition and the seat will move to the easyentry position. The seat will move to thefinal position when the key is in the ignition(if easy entry feature is enabled).
Easy Entry and Exit Feature (If
Equipped)
If you enable the easy entry and exitfeature, it automatically moves the driver'sseat rearward 2 inches (5 centimeters)when the transmission selector lever is inposition P and the key is removed from theignition.
If the seat is located less than 2 inches (5centimeters) from the rear of the seattrack, the seat travel will be less than 2inches (5 centimeters) rearward.
The driver's seat will return to the previousposition when the key is put in the ignition.
You can enable or disable this featurethrough the information display. SeeInformation Displays (page 81).

Rear Under Seat Storage (CrewCab) (If Equipped)
The rear seat has storage space locatedunder the seat cushion.
Lift up the lever and flip up the seatcushion to access the storage space andthe power point (A).
To remove the storage space divider,squeeze the sides and lift it from thestorage tub.
Use your vehicle key to lock the storagespace.
Rear Heated Seats (If Equipped)
WARNING
Persons who are unable to feel painto the skin because of advanced age,chronic illness, diabetes, spinal cordinjury, medication, alcohol use, exhaustion,or other physical conditions, must exercisecare when using the seat heater. The seatheater may cause burns even at lowtemperatures, especially if used for longperiods of time. Do not place anything onthe seat that insulates against heat, suchas a blanket or cushion, because this maycause the seat heater to overheat. Do notpuncture the seat with pins, needles, orother pointed objects because this maydamage the heating element which maycause the seat heater to overheat. Anoverheated seat may cause seriouspersonal injury.
Note:Do not do the following:
•Place heavy objects on the seat.
•Operate the seat heater if water or anyother liquid is spilled on the seat. Allowthe seat to dry thoroughly.
The rear seat heat controls are located onthe rear door armrest.

VENTILATED SEATS (IF EQUIPPED)
The ventilated seats will only functionwhen the engine is running.
To operate the ventilated seats, press theventilated seat symbol to cycle throughthe various cooling settings and off. Coolersettings are indicated by more indicatorlights.
If the engine falls below 350 RPM whilethe ventilated seats are on, the feature willturn itself off. You will need to reactivateit.
Heated and Ventilated Seats AirFilter Replacement (If Equipped)
The heated and ventilated seat systemincludes air filters. You must replace themperiodically.
The filter is located under each front seat.Access the filter from the second rowfoot-well area. Move the front seats all theway to the full front and full up positionsto ease access.
To remove a filter:
1. Turn the vehicle off.
2. Push up on the outside rigid edge ofthe filter until the tabs are released,then remove the filter.
To install a filter:
1. First, position the filter in its housingmaking sure that the far forward endis all the way up in the housing.
2. Push in on the center of the outsideedge of the filter and rotate clockwiseinto the housing until it clips intoposition.

Your vehicle is equipped with a Motorcraftmaintenance-free battery which normallydoes not require additional water duringits life of service.
For longer, trouble-free operation, keep thetop of the battery clean and dry. Also,make certain the battery cables are alwaystightly fastened to the battery terminals.
If you see any corrosion on the battery orterminals, remove the cables from theterminals and clean with a wire brush. Youcan neutralize the acid with a solution ofbaking soda and water.
It is recommended that the negativebattery cable terminal be disconnectedfrom the battery if you plan to store yourvehicle for an extended period of time.
Because your vehicle’s engine iselectronically controlled by a computer,some control conditions are maintainedby power from the battery. When thebattery is disconnected or a new batteryis installed, the engine must relearn its idleand fuel trim strategy for optimumdriveability and performance. Flexible fuelvehicles (FFV) must also relearn theethanol content of the fuel for optimumdriveability and performance. To begin thisprocess
1. With the vehicle at a complete stop,set the parking brake.
2. Put the gearshift in P, turn off allaccessories.
3. Start the engine. Run the engine untilit reaches normal operatingtemperature.
4.Allow the engine to idle for at least oneminute.
5. Turn the A/C on and allow the engineto idle for at least one minute.
6. Release the parking brake. With yourfoot on the brake pedal and with theA/C on, put the vehicle in D and allowthe engine to idle for at least oneminute.
•If you do not allow the engine torelearn its idle trim, the idle qualityof your vehicle may be adverselyaffected until the idle trim iseventually relearned.
7. Drive the vehicle to complete therelearning process
•The vehicle may need to be driven10 mi (16 km) or more to relearn theidle and fuel trim strategy alongwith the ethanol content for flexiblefuel vehicles.
•For flexible fuel vehicles, if you areoperating on E85, you mayexperience poor starts or aninability to start the engine anddriveability problems until the fueltrim and ethanol content have beenrelearned.
If the battery has been disconnected or anew battery has been installed, the clockand radio settings must be reset once thebattery is reconnected.
Always dispose of automotivebatteries in a responsible manner.Follow your local authorized standardsfor disposal. Call your local authorizedrecycling center to find out more aboutrecycling automotive batteries.
Battery Management System (IfEquipped)
The battery management system (BMS)monitors battery conditions and takesactions to extend battery life. If excessivebattery drain is detected, the system maytemporarily disable certain electricalfeatures to protect the battery. Thoseelectrical accessories affected include therear defrost, heated/cooled seats, climate

CLEANING THE INTERIOR
WARNINGS
Do not use cleaning solvents, bleachor dye on the vehicle’s safety belts,as these actions may weaken thebelt webbing.
On vehicles equipped withseat-mounted airbags, do not usechemical solvents or strongdetergents. Such products couldcontaminate the side airbag system andaffect performance of the side airbag in acollision.
For fabric, carpets, cloth seats, safety beltsand seats equipped with side airbags:
•Remove dust and loose dirt with avacuum cleaner.
•Remove light stains and soil withMotorcraft Professional StrengthCarpet & Upholstery Cleaner.
•If grease or tar is present on thematerial, spot-clean the area first withMotorcraft Spot and Stain Remover. InCanada, use Motorcraft Multi-PurposeCleaner.
•If a ring forms on the fabric after spotcleaning, clean the entire areaimmediately (but do not oversaturate)or the ring will set.
•Do not use household cleaningproducts or glass cleaners, which canstain and discolor the fabric and affectthe flame retardant abilities of the seatmaterials.

WARNING
Do not use chemical solvents orstrong detergents when cleaning thesteering wheel or instrument panelto avoid contamination of the airbagsystem.
Clean the instrument panel and clusterlens with a clean, damp, white cottoncloth, then use a clean and dry whitecotton cloth to dry these areas.
•Avoid cleaners or polishes that increasethe gloss of the upper portion of theinstrument panel. The dull finish in thisarea helps protect you fromundesirable windshield reflection.
•Be certain to wash or wipe your handsclean if you have been in contact withcertain products such as insectrepellent and suntan lotion in order toavoid possible damage to the interiorpainted surfaces.
•Do not use household or glass cleanersas these may damage the finish of theinstrument panel, interior trim andcluster lens.
•Do not allow air fresheners and handsanitizers to spill onto interior surfaces.If a spill occurs, wipe off immediately.Damage may not be covered by yourwarranty.
If a staining liquid like coffee or juice hasbeen spilled on the instrument panel or oninterior trim surfaces, clean as follows:
1. Wipe up spilled liquid using a clean,white, cotton cloth.

2. Wipe the surface with a damp, clean,white cotton cloth. For more thoroughcleaning, use a mild soap and watersolution. If the spot cannot becompletely cleaned by this method,the area may be cleaned using acommercially available cleaningproduct designed for automotiveinteriors.
3. If necessary, apply more soap andwater solution or cleaning product toa clean, white, cotton cloth and pressthe cloth onto the soiled area. Allowthis to set at room temperature for 30minutes.
4.Remove the soaked cloth and if it is notsoiled badly, use this cloth to clean thearea by using a rubbing motion for 60seconds.
5. Following this, wipe area dry with aclean, white, cotton cloth.
CLEANING LEATHER SEATS (IF
EQUIPPED)
For routine cleaning, wipe the surface witha soft, damp cloth. For more thoroughcleaning, wipe the surface with a mild soapand water solution. Dry the area with a softcloth.
If you cannot completely clean the leatherusing a mild soap and water solution, youcan try a commercially available leathercleaning product designed for automotiveinteriors.
Note:To check for compatibility, first testany cleaner or stain remover on aninconspicuous part of the leather.
You should:
•remove dust and loose dirt with avacuum cleaner
•clean spills and stains as quickly aspossible
•check for compatibility by first testingany cleaner or stain remover on aninconspicuous part of the leather.
Do not use the following products as thesemay damage the leather:
•oil/petroleum-based leatherconditioners
•household cleaners
•alcohol solutions

REPAIRING MINOR PAINT
DAMAGE
Your authorized dealer has touch-up paintto match your vehicle’s color. Take yourcolor code (printed on a sticker in thedriver’s door jamb) to your authorizeddealer to ensure you get the correct color.
•Remove particles such as birddroppings, tree sap, insect deposits, tarspots, road salt and industrial falloutbefore repairing paint chips.
•Always read the instructions beforeusing the products.
