Monitoring
Warning lamps
When the engine is running or the vehicle is
being driven, the illumination of one of the following warning lamps indicates a fault which
requires action on the par t of the driver.
Any fault resulting in the illumination of a warning lamp must be investigated fur ther byreading the associated message in the multifunction screen.If you encounter any problems, do not hesitate to contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop.

Warning lampis onCauseAction / Observations
STOPfixed, alone or associated with another warning lamp,accompanied by anaudible signal and amessage on the screen. Illumination o
f the warning lamp is
associated with a serious brakingsystem or engine coolant temperature
problem.
Stop as soon as it is safe to do so as the engine may cut out when driving.
Park, switch off the ignition and call a CITROËN dealer
or a qualified workshop.
Servicetemporarily. Minor problems have occurred for
which there is no specific warning lamp. Identi
fy the problem by reading the message shown in
the screen, such as, for example:
- the en
gine oil level,
- the screenwash level,
- the remote control batter
y,
- saturation of the par ticle emission filter on Diesel
vehicles (see the "Checks - Particle emissionsfilter" section).
For any other faults, contact a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.

Mirrors
Each fitted with an adjustable mirror glasspermitting the lateral rearward vision necessary
for overtaking or parking. They can also be
folded for parking in confined spaces.
Demisting - Defrosting
If your vehicle is fitted with heated mirrors, the demisting-defrosting
operates with the engine running, by switching on the heated rear screen (refer to the "Rear screen demist-defrost"page).

Door mirrors
The objects observed are, in reality,
closer than they appear.Take this into account in order to correctly judge the distance of vehicles approaching from behind.




Folding
)From outside: lock the vehicle using theremote control or the key. )From inside: with the ignition on, pull the control A
in the central position rear wards.


Unfolding
)From outside: unlock the vehicle using theremote control or the key. )From inside: with the ignition on, pull the control A
in the central position rearwards.

If the mirrors are folded using control A , they will not unfold when the vehicle is unlocked. Pull again on control A.

The folding and unfolding of the door mirrors using the remote control can bedeactivated by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
Never fold or unfold the electric foldingmirrors manually.

Access
This section describes the functions of the remote control key, electric
windows, central locking of doors and boot and access to the fuel filler.

Remote control key System which permits central unlocking or locking of the vehicle using the lock or from a distance. It is also used to locate and start the vehicle, as well as providing protection against theft.

Locking is confirmed by fixed lighting of
the direction indicators for approximatelytwo seconds.
According to version, the door mirrors fold at
the same time.

the direction indicators for approximately
two seconds.
According to version, the door mirrors unfold at
the same time.

Locking using the key
)Turn the key to the left in the driver's door lock to lock the vehicle completely.

If one of the doors or the boot is stillopen, the central locking does not takeplace.
When the vehicle is locked, if it isunlocked inadvertently, it will relockautomatically after thirty secondsunless a door or the boot is open.

The folding and unfolding of the door mirrors using the remote control can bedeactivated by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

First press this button to fold the key.

If you do not press the button when folding the key, there is a risk of damage to the mechanism.

Deadlocking using the remote
control

Press the closed padlock to lock
the vehicle completely.
) Press the closed padlock again withinfive seconds to deadlock the vehicle.


Deadlocking using the key
)
Turn the key to the left in the driver's door lock to lock the vehicle completely.)
Turn the key to the left again within five seconds to deadlock the vehicle.
Deadlocking is confirmed by fixed lightingof the direction indicators for approximately
two seconds.
According to version, the door mirrors fold at
the same time.
Deadlocking renders the exterior andinterior door controls inoperative.
It also deactivates the manual centralcontrol button.
Therefore, never leave anyone insidethe vehicle when it is deadlocked.

Following disconnection of the vehicle battery,
replacement of the remote control battery or
in the event of a remote control malfunction, you can no longer unlock, lock or locate your
vehicle.)First of all, use the key in the lock to unlock
or lock your vehicle.
)Then, reinitialise the remote control.
If the problem persists, contact a CITROËN
dealer as soon as possible.

)Switch off the ignition.)Turn the key to position 2 (Ignition).)Press the closed padlock immediately for afew seconds.)Switch off the ignition and remove the keyfrom the ignition switch.
The remote control is fully operational again.

Changing the battery

Battery ref.: CR1620 / 3 volts. )Unclip the casing by inserting a coin at the notch and rotating.
)Slide the flat battery out of its location.)Slide the new battery into its location
observing the original direction.
)Clip the casing in place, then the chrome
finisher. )Reinitialise the remote control.

If the batter
y is flat, you are
informed by lighting of this warninglamp in the instrument panel, an audible signal
and a message in the multifunction screen.
) Unfold the key.)
Release the chrome finisher by pressingon lug A.)
Maintain pressure on lug A
and remove thechrome finisher by sliding it off at 45°.
