Monitoring
For a few seconds after the ignition is switchedon,the spanner flashes
to indicate that the ser vice must be carried out as soon as possible.
Example:
the ser vice is overdue by 18 0 miles (300 km).
For a few seconds after the ignition is switched
on, the display indicates:
The distance remaining may be weighted by the time factor, depending on the driver's driving habits.
Therefore, the spanner may also come
on if you have exceeded the two year service interval.
Following this operation, if you wish to disconnect the battery, lock the vehicleand wait at least five minutes for the zero reset to be taken into account.
Service indicatorzero reset
After each ser vice, the ser vice indicator mustbe reset to zero.
The procedure for resetting to zero is as
follows: ) switch off the ignition, )
press and hold the trip distance recorder zero reset button,
)
switch on the ignition; the distance recorder
display begins a countdown,
) when the display indicates "=0"
, release
the button; the spanner disappears.
Retrieving the serviceinformation
You can access the service information at
any time.
) Press the trip distance recorder zero reset button.
The ser vice information is displayed for a
few seconds, then disappears.
A few seconds after the ignition is switched
on, the distance recorder resumes its normal
operation. The spanner remains on.

If excessive travel or a loss of
effectiveness of this system isnoticed, the parking brake must be checked, even between two ser vices.
Only use products recommended by CITROËN or products of equivalent quality and specification. In order to optimise the operationof units as impor tant as the braking system, CITROËN selects and offers very specific products.
Checking this system must be done by aCITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop. Unless there is a leak in the circuit, a drop in
the brake fluid level indicates that the brake pads are worn.
